There's a different between rich and wealthy.. we are not a wealthy club but I like to think we are a club rich with character, personality, loyalty, history and success. Something money cannot buy.. the club doesn't need mercenaries like the roosters, the club needs members, passion and players/ fans entwined as one big family. Something i feel des installed in our last decade of dominance. Stronger together

No i haven't missed the principle, I understand your comments. I'm just adding my two cents regarding the peters quote above, and how I am opposed to it. I believe we don't need to be wealthy to compete with the other clubs if we have the right people in place with as u said the right mentality. Being rich in other areas will see us up there. Probably why peters isn't involved anymore
You understand the principle in your own perception and we both have different perceptions here as this is what this forum is all about
We have no leagues club or pokies for building wealth like other clubs do.. you can have the best marketers around and it will only make a lil difference in recruiting members and outreach to the brand. The best way to make dollars imo first and foremost is success on the field.. continued winning success will attract more members, ticket sales, airtime, prize money, players, new fans, sponsors, merch revenue and influence. Until we get a tycoon to buy the club I feel our resources and options are limited. It takes money to make money. We have to take the slow and steady approach which starts with continuatuon of success and people will come knocking. Just my opinion.

I actually think you pour time and money into winning the hearts of the kids. That is the long-term play that would pay massive dividends. Write the script of who the club is and tell it to the youth. Get in the schools, get in the youth clubs, market on social media. Get into the grass roots more than the other clubs. Hit the states without a club - WA, SA, Tas, NT and run a program of events in NZ where we used to have a great following. Youth, Youth, Youth. Get over to Fiji and sponsor events and bring youth over to cultivate another pathway.
