Back when I worked in Banking (ooof, horrible thought), if we under performed, there wouldn't be a Christmas Party put on at ALL. Or else we'd be asked to pay for the whole thing ourselves, and in our own time.

I would hate to think my Membership dollars are going to a function for these blokes to celebrate and get on the piss after this season. I hope Mestrov says sorry, no mad Monday. Get together at someone's house and throw some sausages on a BBQ - at your own expense.
