M. Wright .....

Am I the only one to have been surprised how easily M. Wright slotted into dummy half .... where did that skill come from?

I have said before, the best game he has played for us was at 5/8 ... he just seems to get better the closer you get him to the action.

Yeah I know he is slow and useless and not first grade standard .... but Gee wilickers .... he is a damn good stand-by .... I like the lad.

He is great as a utility and is very skillful. Pace isn’t his strong point but he has a good footy brain.

With Hastings out the door Wright would be my backup 5/8 at the moment.

It's not that he needs to be the fastest winger in the competition but...he is criminally slow and when you are on the wing, pace is extremely important.

He has a great skill set, is tough and not afraid to get in and do the hard work but if he had pace, he would be one of the best wingers in the competition. Alas, he is slower than many forwards and therein lies the problem.

We dont have many options and he has to play in the 17 while we have this crisis going on. I would much rather see a younger and faster player come into the squad, we are vulnerable on our wings, we dont score many tries from bombs and we concede so many turnovers which lead to our defence not coping, we need to be tight at the back and that is what we lack right now!

He did pretty well at it last weekend though and he sure as hell is a better option than Brown.
