You're right! Put him in an average team behind an average pack and he is just that.... Average!

I can honestly say that in the hammering our NSW Cup boys dealt to Nth Syd in round 14, our halfback Rudolph was not only outstanding all day (along with a couple of others) but he also totally out played and out shinned his opposite number in Keary all day long......

Until Keary kicked and chased a short grubber kick off directly at Rudolph late in the 79th mins; Rudolph made the tackle and Keary had to play the ball, but unfortunately for Rudolph he came out if that tackle with a broken leg!!

Sorry to say but Keary has a long way to go and a lot to learn before he can don the superstar status!

But even star halves playing behind an average pack can look average also so that really does not tell us much in that statement.

Mind you our halves and backline this year up to a point were carrying us even with an average pack but eventually our ineffective punch/go forward and lack of aggression on top of injuries made our halves look average also.
