Longest running finals run.

Just decided to check who had the longest running finals run.

Manly since 2005 (7 seasons)
Dragons since 2008 (4 seasons)

Melbourne before last season had a run from 2002 to 2009 of 7 seasons. Just last season taking out their run. But does it really count with all their cap rorts for msot of that period.

I dont count the storms cheating years, they would have surely lost guys some key players if they had played by the rules (the thing is by cheating, guys like smith, cronk and slater are now loyal players and will never leave, where as in 2007 they may have).

To think some bloke last yr wacked 100K on the donkeys not to make the eight and it was the first time in 18yrs they didnt make it.

Yeah dragoons made finals 23yrs straight 1951-73, but it was a different era.

Broncos will be very lucky to play finals next season.
Dragons could miss also.

Manly made the finals every season between 1968 - 78 (11 seasons), so that would have to be our longest finals run so far.

In the nrl era manly (2) and Brisbane (3) are the only sides to legitimately win multiple premierships
