[Resurrected] Lol @ Parra

Swap Management from the Eels to the Panthers
and the watch the Panthers decline from Magnificence to Mediocrity
The Greatest asset by any Organisation is indeed the Great people it invests in

All clubs are at the Mercy of Magnificent people or Mediocre people that run the joints
Mediocre people do not win premierships .
They are a waste of money and resources and most of all Premiership winning time

I’m no Eels fan but I think they’ve made the right call with Gutho. He can barely run. He ain’t worth close to a mil and if Ryles is going to build for the future, that’s a lot of money to free up for a play in the market. He’s also part of the Arthur regime and a strong personality. I imagine Ryles wants to move in and assert himself as the leader, without any potential power struggles with senior players.

If Gutho was healthy, I might question this decision but it is so obvious that those knees are cactus; he permanently hobbles now. They might struggle next year but getting the jump on a rebuild might actually fast track future success and be the right move in the long run.

Ryles will not find a player in the market that represents the heart and soul and spirit of the Eels club like Gutho does

If Ryles is a coach that is intimidated by strong personalities and influential players like Gutho He is a weak coach

A club can not build a strong culture without strong influential characters that represent the heart and soul and spirit of the club

Every club that signs players first medically clears them and Gutho has been medically cleared to sign lucrative 3 year deal with another club

Rookie Ryles will be a Wooden spoon contender IMO

We should not be surprised at all what the incompetent Eels people that run their club do

It has been 60 years since the have won a comp

They have the money , they have the juniors but they dont have competent people to take command and deliver

The Greatest asset of any organocations if the Great people it Invests in

Incompetent people do not win Premierships

Umm, didn't they last win a Premiership in 1986?

2024 - 1986 does not equal 60 as far as my learning of mathematics goes unless I have suddenly jumped forward in time to 2046 and I am now 85 and still alive

Thank you feathered friend @Jethro
I stand corrected
It had been 38 years since their last famous Premiership win

An Organisations Greatest Asset is the Great People it Invests in
In the 80s The Eels club was run by Winners and those Winner won 4 premierships
But since then there was a changing of the guard and things have never been the same
Invest in clowns and they will turn your Organisation into a Circus and this is what the Eels Organisation is right now

People Power made Parra Power in the 80s

I hold Guth in high regard but wouldn’t take him back now. Always put in the effort, captained a **** club to multiple top 4 finishes and scored a double in a grand final against a team that has won 4 comps in a row. But we need to be careful with recruitment to piece together a premiership in the next few years.

What a fark up to let him go in the first place for Dylan farken Walker. They both came through as fullbacks but there would always have been room for Manly to fit Turbo and Guth in the backline. Had a younger DCE on the books and also Jake when he was playing stellar football. Get some hard forwards playing with them and we would have had a shot in the last decade provided we didn’t take Trent farken Barrett on board

It was a crime to have wasted so many of DCE's best years.
