Look at the club you say ?You’re having a go at the fans about this? On Silvertails where, I’d suggest, everyone who can afford to become a member is?
Talk to the club Bozo - it’s their job to make themselves appealing enough for people to want to become members
I think Lyall was doing a great job, not so sure about the current bloke.
I have to say, at the moment I’m finding they’re falling a bit short in the communications area.
We heard nothing from them for a very long time until they decided to beg for a pledge. Of course (I’d imagine) most are on board but why not ongoing communication up to that point.
Next, people were allowed in on Thursday and I’d imagine the first in were the longest standing gold members. Again I’m sure that all of us members would be on board with this but again, nothing from the club about how they’re approaching this.
I dread to think how they’ll get it sorted when 5,000 people will be allowed in.
If you want people to want to be members, even without footy, you’ve got to provide them with a sense that they’re part of something.
And don’t give me skeleton staff crap. I’m sure jobkeeper could provide enough of a wage for someone to send a mass email once a week.
Lay off the fans Bozo and look at the club.
Lets take a good look at our club shall we feathered friend
Lets compare our great club to all the other clubs
Our great club on record is the most successful club in the modern era
Our great club is the only club to have won a premiership every decade since the 70's
Our great club has been in more finals than any club in the modern era
Our great club has given our fans more wins and more joy than any other club
Our great club has never disgraced our jumper or our fans with a wooden spoon
Us Manly fans have many reasons to be passionate and proud of our Great club
but we are blinded by our pathetically pessimistic attitude
Lets compare our passion and pride with the Eels fans who had to endure 18 years of wooden spoons humiliation and have more than double passionate Club members than us
THE MORAL OF THE STORY .........
THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A *PERFECT CLUB *
BUT THERE IS SUCH A THING AS * PASSIONATE SUPPORTERS*
WHO PUT THEIR PRIDE AND PASSION AND LOVE FOR THEIR CLUB ABOVE ALL
IT IS OBVIOUS THAT OUR MANLY FANS PESSIMISTIC EXCUSES ARE MORE PASSIONATE AND STRONGER THEN THEIR PRIDE AND PASSION FOR THEIR GREAT CLUB IN BECOMING CLUB MEMBERS
