Yes I remembered that post , I was saying that Lodge the Cookie Monster will only stay if we give him more cookies in his contract but I agree with you that our club made him the right offer

From the reports we’ve offered $150k a year for 2 years and he’s rejected it.

Whilst I’d like to see him stay he’s been mostly injured so I can see what the club are playing hard ball.

With the English pound being nearly double the AUS, he could easily get that playing super league against much easier speed and opposition. Surely he will go there?

Might be a case of retaining Lodge and just on slightly more coin if say Condon moved on but as you alluded to , not only on the form consideration but injury issues could even make that proposition. on the doubtful side

And the 150 K offer is obviously a clear indication from the club's outlook at present that his re signing is in the very low priority category
The occasional suggestion of other team "s props or forwards not in say a run on forward line up but still pretty handy to consider but maybe Tavega will be it and not much more references to Chee Kam.

The low offer is a clear sign the club now believes we already have enough big lumbering types under contract. Or maybe too many!

We probably only made any offer at all because we'd led him to believe he'd get an offer.

If he'd actually brained it when on the field, then might have been different, but he didn't quite show enough. He can go and finally fulfill his potential somewhere else, good bye and good luck.

Unless it's changed, to be eligible as an import player in the ESL he must've played at 50% of games in the immediate season prior.
Something like that anyway.

So his options are limited imo.

Nah. Condon played one NRL game this year and Centurions are discussing him so it must have changed.
