This whole situation is going to be a massive issue for clubs moving forward in terms of the pre season training requirements. In some ways it is good and in some ways it is potentially bad.
From my perspective, it basically means 'The big boppers' will be relieved of some hard endurance training and will probably have to focus more on strength in the gym, rather than running massive kms. Given the 'Big Boppers' typically only play 40 minutes each game, with a 20 to 40 minute interval between each stint, I have no issue with it. They are impact players over short stints and the clubs have to adapt suitable training strategies to cope with that.
