Entering Round 11 this weekend, all 17 NRL teams can choose their train and trial players for team list selection on Tuesday.

Earning $1200 per week, there is no limit on how many contracts clubs were allowed to give at the beginning of the season, with some contracts lasting weeks, months, or the full season.

Manly Warringah Sea Eagles is pleased to confirm Matthew Lodge will be a part of the extended playing squad for the 2025 season.

Lodge will initially play NSW Cup with a view to forcing his way into the NRL squad.

An ACL rupture and torn biceps limited Lodge to just 12 appearances in his two seasons at the Sea Eagles, but the 29-year-old prop believes his best football is still ahead of him.

I'd drop Brown and Waddell. Can't see Jurbo ever getting dropped.

I’m a bit done with Brown tbh. I mean the bfb runs are entertaining, but he just gets belted and makes minimal yards. I think Waddell was making more of the kickoffs. But yeah def those two to go. Waddell first.

Lodge would be a walk up start for the 17 after that catastrophe last weekend. Waddell and Brown can make way for Lodge and Aloiai.

But Saab has spent his rehab time growing and grooming some nice braids, instead of wasting time on learning to catch a bomb when you are 4 foot taller than anybody on the opposition… 🙄
