Life after BK

While I aknowledge that the loss of BK will leave a huge leadership vacum I wonder if we will miss his workrate as much as we fear we will.

I wonder how much his average metre stats this year can be put down to the fact that it is his last year and that he is playing each game in that fashion (would be interesting to compare his 05 & 06 stats)

Rather than worry that we do not have a redy made replacememt for BK it might simply be a case of his workrate being shared amoung the other forwards. I wonder for instance how many times BK overcalls a teamate in a game for example if say Glen Stewart was ready for a hitup and BK said my ball the dummy half would no doubt give BK the ball over Stewart because of the fact he is BK.

I am in no way trying to gloss over his departure but rather just trying to put a more optimistic view forward if we do not snare a big name to replace him.

I worry about the loss of leadership more than ability. I worry about the fact that he fires up at anyone dropping in intensity. I worry that we are losing someone that demands 110%

Some one always steps up, but hell they are HUGE boots to fill. At this very point in time I would put it in the crisis category as no one stands out.

UP - if you watch you will notice early on that when there is a starting prop on one side and BK on the other 99 times out of 100 it goes to bk
