Mate there was so much fatigue out there, hardly any break in play. Felt like the whole game was live ball. First game back too. He defended really well. Hard to speed up the ruck when everyone is rooted and the forwards are barely bursting on to the ball. He wouldn't of done much ball work in pre-season due to his ACL. All things considering, I'd give him a pass mark in my opinion

Never ever again should play hooker, IMO that cost us the game

- we were clunky with the ball all night

- slow passes from dummy half

- sloppy slow ruck, hookers job to speed it up

- how many times did he look up and around

- slow slow slow

I definitely agree with the gist of this post. His service was garbage and worst than Croker (something i would never have believed possible).

I actually thought Lawton's service out of dummy half was way better than Croker's usually is. Before the game I was mainly worried about his defence in the middle - which Croker excels at - but he was also very good there. Made plenty of tackles and held the middle down well.

I agree that the service was better tonight. , Im of the view that Cook would have done more damage if Croker was a our starting hooker. Lawton is a taller body with longer reach to be able to limit Cook. Had Croker been our starting hooker tonight, I would have had Cook scoring at least 1 try.
Croker's best defence is against the bigger guys, he struggles against the smaller and quicker guys like Mahoney,Cook,etc.

Give the guy a break. First full game since doing his ACL.

I tend to agree, only because there was no over realistic alternative. Black mark on our retention and recruitment
