Laurie Daley

I doubt he's actually doing any actual coaching on a team basis

Which is obviously a good thing.

If he's there to help recruiting and individual skills then that's fine.
And that’s how I’d say they’ll be using him.

This is neither , the best news ever for the team OR, the worst news ever.

He’ll possibly spend a little time , half day a week and probably won’t be doing actual coaching , but I could be talking through my arse as well as I really don’t know.

I think he will be working with the halves, and predominantly with Walsh. I don't see any bad news if thats the case.

Advisor. What's the problem? Harvard needs all the advice he can get.

In fact, I can throw in some advice for free for you Anthony:

Coaching is not for you. The unemployment rate is pretty good right now. Perfect time to embark on another profession.

DCE's decision to run for the hills looks better every day (for him). Where do we need to end up for this experiment to cease? The spoon?
The top sides all have up and coming assistants that command decent head coaching jobs when they become available. we get Daley...... OH and our second in charge.... Hales..... Oh and a spoon worthy coach in Seifold...

If we aren't talking through our arse, are we really talking at all 🤔 😂

Upon reflection, I think this isn't really that important in the grand scheme of things. He hasn't got an influential role at all, by the sounds of it.

However... It is interesting timing, considering that quite a few quality players are entering the open market for 2027 soon. Many of those same players would be interested to hear Daley's input regarding the Blues, and maybe show off a bit.

That's why I think this might be occuring. A bit of a drawcard in recruitment.

I'm surprised you didn't hear about this up there at the Gold Coast but it was doing the rounds on Sunday and Monday.

Laurie was seen chatting to Des on the weekend - perhaps to get him on board as part of his SoO coaching team or Des giving him the heads up on how to deal with the Yank.

I am not sure why all the hate as well.

The bloke knows what he is doing, won premierships, played under many great coaches, surely he can only help and not hinder. Current origin coach

Especially he will only be around for one session per week by sound of things

Would he come cheap? Yep,
Much coaching experience? Nope
Will he add anything? Probably not ...... but it looks like they are trying.

So obviously it's a big tick ..... what a club. Just what a club.

Basketcase......

It seems that Silvertails only thrives on hate and vitriol. The forum probably wouldn't survive without the butthurt bitterness and bile expressed by many of the members on here.
