He's one of my favourite non Manly players. He's got speed power and talent. A game changer. I have got to admire the bunnies for making an investment towards his rehabilitation from injury by sending him to the US where he worked with leading conditioning specialist Bill Knowles.

There's a documentary Pushing Boundaries
which gives you an insight into the recovery programme.

I think it is something that Turbo and our rehab team would have definitely benefited from had our club made a similar investment.

He's been really good since his return. The only player in the NRL who can rival Turbo for impact and "gravity" (as they call it in the NBA). And I'm always encouraged that he's been bagged for being fat and unfit his entire career. I hope the Schu is as fat and unfit as Latrell one day.

Latrell’s phat. ATM, Schu’s just plain fat.

It's only a game ...

The difference is that Latrell has natural speed. Actually, I think he is probably the most naturally gifted player in the NRL - when you add in his goal kicking & long range field goals/punts. He can make line breaks with speed, power or swerve and has passing skills left & right. He also can hit hard in defence. His achilles heel is his hot head & spiteful tendencies.

He also has incredible power, much more than Schu.

I see he wants to be PM now, I'm in favour of it.....we could have the whole cabinet made up of rugby league players past and present.....Terry Randall Minister for Defence, Sonny Bill Foreign Affairs, Dessie Communications, Todd Carney The Arts.....

Latrell Mitchell wants to be more influential than Prime Minister

On the eve of NRL Indigenous Round, South Sydney superstar Latrell Mitchell has revealed his mission to become the most influential person in Australia.

Latrell Mitchell is on a mission to join the Prime Minister as the most influential leader in the country.
In the eyes of the NRL superstar, he already sits alongside Australia’s most powerful Indigenous athletes including champions Cathy Freeman, Lionel Rose, Anthony Mundine and Patty Mills.
“Don’t you reckon I’m there on that list?,’’ the South Sydney fullback asks.
“I feel like I’ve earned my stripes and I now carry that torch.
“I feel like I’m on that pathway towards leaving a legacy.
“I lead by example and have a responsibility and obligation to put 100 per cent effort in everything I do.
So what’s next then, Latrell?

“I’d like to be the most influential athlete in Australia,’’ he says.

“Not just that though, I want to be the most influential Australian.

“Why not?”

Ahead of an important clash with the Eels at Allianz Stadium on Friday night, Mitchell made the claim without a hint of ego........
