Last Round Experiment

Class of 96

I'm warming to the idea of some of our venerable armchair critics on ST suggesting moving TT to centre, Wright to fullback and Kelly (or Shuster) on the wing.

Don't think we have much to lose trying this. Our current set-up just isn't working and ain't going to change.

Wright was pretty solid at FB when TT was out (think we won every game?), and looked better positionally.

TT should have impact at left centre. Sure it doesn't address out defensive frailties on that side, but worth a go, because let's face it, even if we make the 8, it will be a very short journey.

Agree Wright is as slow as a land tortoise and should not be on the wing. Today proved that he could not keep up with Turbo.

I'm confident we'll defeat the Panthers (and cowboys to lose by plenty to Brisbane) although I still don't think it's worth changing things now, too much of a risk

It really is too late to make the change now. Matt Wright is being exposed weekly by his lack of pace and defensively he has no faith in Brian Kelly and we are caught out time and time again on our left edge as a result. I was most disappointed that he showed no effort to at least contest the ball from that bomb and that cost us six points. I hope next year that Manly put somoene one the wing who offers us a threat with pace and dealing with bombs. Matt Wright is a toiler but he is not a long term solution.

Matt wright has always and will always be slow. I dread him been involved in nearly everything. Sadly he has to be in the team as we have no goal kicker. Not that he is is great at that either.

I don't agree with any positional changes in a much win match. Let's be frank we are going to need turbo to have a blinder to win and he is more likely to do that from fullback than centre.

I like sironen, but he isn't going to be match fit and only played a handful of good games before injury.

Penrith are going to be smarting from that loss, at least Edwards may be out.

Not sure where the confidence is coming from that we will win this match, obviously lots to play for, but that's been the case for weeks and it hasn't provided any impetus.

Still, go manly, I will be cheering my lil heart out!

Wright would be a disaster at fullback. The lump is not capable of breaking the earths gravity momentarily to jump and catch; therefore precluding him from the skill set required by an NRL fullback.

Kinda contradictory comment? the left side is broken, so don't change it?!

If the wheel falls off your car, are you going to replace it or keep driving until the axle shears off?
