Las Vegas 2025

1 game is on free to air here (and there)

Raiders v warriors.

Not a lot in the amerikkkan media that I found (which consists of clicking the sports tab on google news I admit).

But the people there seem to love it. I enjoyed it last year. One year I may not be too shy to talk to some of you. scary buggers.

I wondered if this year may be a let-down after all last year's hype but from the couple of snippets I've seen here on fox its bigger, if anything. Hopefully a big crowd will watch some of the games.

I agree. the people there are loving it, having an english component is dragging the poms outta their cold, damp hobbit holes.

the aust/english press are giving it a ton of coverage. It's just not (yet) hyped as much in the nth american media.

(post made without benefit of morning coffee - so read at your own risk)

At least 10000 fans from Wigan and Warrington have made the trip so surely the crowd should be higher than last year.

I didn't know they had teams there?

- kidding.

I mean 10k is a lot of fans. 4 games in a row would be (maybe) tough to sit through but I reckon it'll be better than last year (well...not without Manly, but you know what I mean)

I think it'd be interesting to see a nrl game followed by a super league game just to compare standards (including the refs).

There really isn't a comparison. I've just finished watching Wakefield v St Helens on TV and it was dreadful. The referees tend to send EVERY try up to the video ref so you can wait for ages for an obvious decision. Wigan have been clever with their choice of special jerseys for the event

It will probably be even tougher to sit through drinking weak as piss American beer that doesn't even come in proper size pints. I do hope the Americans know how much beer 10000 Northern English rugby league fans will get through or they will have a riot on their hands

I don’t think you can assume an automatic crowd increase of 10k+ as there were reported to be a huge contingent of UK fans in the stand last year even though none of their teams were involved. Hopefully you’re right though.
