I just did my ladder prediction at nrl.com and here is what I came up with.

1. Manly Sea Eagles 40
2. Melbourne Storm 38
3. Nth Qld Cowboys 34
4. Parramatta Eels 32
5. Canterbury Bulldogs 30
6. Brisbane Broncos 28
7. Cronulla Sharks 28
8. NZ Warriors 28
____________________________________________-
9. Wests Tigers 26
10. Gold Coast Titans 24
11. Canberra Raiders 22
12. Newcastle Knights 22
13. Sth Sydney Rabbitohs 16
14. Sydney Roosters 16
15. St George Dragons 14
16. Penrith Panthers 14

That is with us losing 2 more games the rest of this year.

First Week of the finals:

Manly beat Warriors
Storm beat Sharks
Eels beat Bulldogs
Cowboys beat Broncos

*All home teams win

Second week of finals: (warriors and sharks drop out)

Broncos beat Eels
Cowboys beat Bulldogs

Third week of finals: (Eels and Bulldogs drop out)

Manly beat Broncos :)
Storm beat Cowboys

Grand Final:

Melbourne Storm V Manly Sea Eagles

:yeah:

 See how ya's go!

I expect that he has looked into his crystal ball and forseen season-ending injuries to Smith, Inglis, Cronk and Johnson...

Nutz, how can you realistically tip us to finish ahead of Melbourne on points on the Ladder?

We have an easier run home than them.

I'm also hopeful we start firing once we finally get a full team back on deck and no interruptions.

This is our run home and what I predicted:

Rnd 16:
Manly beat St George
Melbourne Bye

Rnd 17:
Manly beat Roosters
Melbourne beat Rabbits

Rnd 18:
Manly beat Wests
Melbourne beat Newcastle

Rnd 19:
Sharks beat Manly
Melbourne beat Canberra

Rnd 20:
Manly beat Parra
Roosters beat Storm (they'll be comlacent) ;)

Rnd 21:
Manly beat Broncos (cuz i'll be there)
Sharks beat Melbourne at home

Rnd 22:
Manly beat Newcastle
Broncos beat Melbourne

Rnd 23:
Manly beat Souths
Melbourne beat Parramatta

Rnd 24:
Warriors beat Manly (the road trip from hell)
Bulldogs beat Melbourne

Rnd 25:
Manly beat Dragons
Melbourne beat Titans

Watch for the Melbourne form slump between rounds 20 and 22  and the bulldogs fighting for a spot in the 8 to roll them aswell.

Obviously, there is alot of wishful thinking but i'm a glass half full type and you gotta admit it's not impossible. The only loss I have down for the Storm I would consider a boilover is the Roosters game. But you gotta throw in a loss like that I reckon.

I reckon we can afford to lose 2 of our last 9 games against St George twice, Newcastle, Rabbits, Broncos, Eels, Sharks, Tigers and Warriors.

If we lose just two of those I think we have a chance of being around the minor premiership.

The Storm have Bye (no easy beats), rabbits, newcastle, canberra, roosters.. but then I reckon it gets hard for them.. they have Sharks at Cronulla, Broncos in Melbourne, Parramatta in Melbourne, bulldogs away and finish withthe Titans at home.

I think that Broncos and Parra will go down to Melbourne and play well... broncos will still be looking to secure a top 8 spot and Parra weren't far off beating them in the final last year. Bulldogs at Telstra where they will also be trying to secure a spot won't be easy either.
