Lack of Mobility in the pack stood out

What you don't discuss, is that like in the NRL and the stock market, people pay the wrong price.
I will discuss any thing you like feathered friend
The NRL stock Market is all about supply and demand
There is a very short supply of High quality halfbacks
I gather that you are referring to the Browns Wrong Price that Newcastle paid
Brown is a 5/8 and Newcastle paid halfbacks Money

You are comparing apples with oranges feathered friend .
I am not the one that determines DCE's Worth
The NRL stock Market determines the Rare and Elite Halves Value

The stock market value on slow and aging forwards in bargain based price
Just like the ones we have been recruiting
Brooks completely outplayed DCE on the weekend. His kicking, passing, defence, running and assists were all MUCH better than our captain. DCE ran around in circles and handed hard won momentum back to the Storm on multiple occasions. The elite halfback was utterly crap on Sunday.

You are right feathered friend DCE was not at his best last week

That first 20 minutes the Storm dominated the ruck and made the middle forwards look even slower, when Bully and Brown came on they managed to wrestle the middle back and got some good go forward and ruck speed.

The take away for me from that game is Bully needs to be tried as a starter, I can’t remember him starting in the run on side as a middle, hard to say if he is a better bench forward than starter when there is nothing to go off.

Jake that was a disappointing game from him, he lacked energy and aggression in defence and that’s a key area for him, I haven’t seen a Jake custom hit that has left the opponent gasping for air this season.

Burbo could possibly have a Yeo story arc?

Massive whipping boy, average centre/backrow. Goes to lock and wins 4 prems in a row.

Haha, wishful thinking.

Similar builds though.
Burbo would be solid in the middle. It’s his lateral defence that is absolutely ****ed. He gets burnt for speed consistently every game. He can run a decent line but I find he falls down to his stomach quite fast most runs. This is good for a middle forward as it gets you quick momentum but for a second rower you really want those half breaks to be full line busts. Doesn’t seem to have that thrust.

It took me a while to see this in Ben T and the thread on him to 13 changed my mind after watching him this season, I think you could get a good 50-55 minutes out of him in the middle.

I said it pre game that we would get killed in the forwards.

Comparing the middles of Jake, Sio T, Sipley and Tevaga v Stefano, Grant, King and Loirero is just embarrassing, not withstanding we have some injuries in our prop rotation

Its like comparing a truck to a sports car in terms of speed and lateral movement.

Seibold needs to find more balance and that means more of Bully, Simpkin and even Navale. Tevaga can come off the bench as a prop.

With no Paseka and Aloiai I would be running with

8. Sio T
9. Simpkin
10. Jake
11. Haumole
12. Ben T
13. Bully

Bench

14. Tevaga
15. Navale
16. Brown
17. ?
Swap Brbo & Bully……

110%

If we put all our forwards on the market only two would see clubs knocking the doors down to sign them.

The rest

Jake would get an offer as a prop, maybe $400k

And the others , not much more than basic wages.

Even Paseka , who many rate , wouldn’t be in high demand.

There’s your issue , not the backs , not the halves , not the ****ing coach , it’s the cattle or lack of them
So after a decade this is what our recruitment and management have come up with for a forwards pack. Absolutely bereft of ideas this mob.

I think he is a good back up option off the bench but he ain't no starting/80 minute 2nd rower!
