The biggest issue I have seen with DCE kicking game, is he kicks a Long way from the defensive line , often finding legs and bodies due to this....Lockyer , Thurston, Joey and today Cam Smith, will measure the kick at the line, after engaging the defence up, always finding grass behind the line.

I still say jake should and will end up as a prop and will play the way James Graham did. This possibly allows Schuster to play lock... in time.

Prop, lock, second row, meh these days clubs really play 3 middle forwards and 2 edge forwards.
Jake plays in the middle whether he has a 13 or 8 on this back.
Schuster could play on the edge in a Glen Stewart ball playing role but I wouldnt be advocating him as a middle forward

Cam Murray- Jake T - Victor Radley to name a few. All skillful guys that play middle. The good locks are a key link to the backline... I cant see why Schuster couldn't play this role at all.

All skillful middle forwards but all still middle forwards who are taking hitups and churning through 30-40 tackles a game.

Not for me, I think you are wasting the kids talents by giving him that workload.
