Interesting that on Instagram Haumole liked the post that the Manly Sea Eagles posted with the loss.
This is how Seibold is influencing the new Manly Culture
With his open public pressers
Proud of the way we played in losing games
Happy with the fight from our players in losing games
Happy with the spirit shown by our players in losing games

I ask any one reading this post
Is there any wonder why one of Seibolds team leaders Haumole liked the Manly losing histogram post ?

He's definitely a cuddly coo ca choo type coach.

We were absolutely dreadful in that second half and to lose that game is just unforgiveable.

Whether we are in a premiership window or not or whether we have salary cap issues or injuries or whatever the amount of times we lose when up 16-0 is unacceptable.

The poor game management shown year after year and the inconsistency when we have had world class players is just disgraceful.

It’s the worst ten years in our history statistically speaking and this year we have been awful so far.

Keep your head up Dingo, there's still 13 rounds to go and the competition is topsy-turvey.
No doubt it is, and I’ll always support the team and watch each week but if we just say “oh but the comp is so even” then we’re just begging to maintain mediocrity. Just because the comp is topsy-turvey doesn’t mean we should be blowing 16-0 leads to spoon contenders. Canberra are 11-3, there’s proof you can still be very strong in this close competition, and that’s what we should be striving for. Reality is we are still just not good enough, haven’t been for years and years and if we are going to make excuses by saying that the comp is so even down where we are sitting, then we are providing a way to avoid accountability to those who aren’t leading us in the right direction and we will continue an endless cycle where the club stays far from success.

I always think “oh well 9th isn’t too bad there are a few teams similar to us and we can get a few wins in” but that way of thinking is exactly why we don’t change. Gosh, imagine Melbourne were 9th, I can’t imagine the outrage. Why don’t we have that accountability? I see no reason why we can’t also be 11-3 right now.

If you fight for mediocrity you can keep mediocrity. If you fight for more than that, you can get more than that.

I appreciate you’re trying to remain positive, I want to as well, but I’m starting to realise that all it does is push the serious issues we have further under the rug.

Just the way I see it currently

The really aggravating thing is that if only we could manage to play consistently reasonably we really would be knocking on the top 4, perhaps solidly within it.

Even with how terrible we can be, if we can manage a win ratio somewhere around 50% we should just about creep into the 8. If we can beat the Titans (bye to follow?) then we are still on track.
