I say watch out for both the fletchers, fletcher hunt has been impressive the last two weeks and will not shy away from a contest in the air and has a great leap on him, don’t let fletcher sharpe run!! one tackle bust and it’s try time for him

I don’t mean to makeshift quote myself but WTF DID I SAY @ I genuinely woke up this morning thinking it was a nightmare and realised it was real and the pit in my stomach came back.

Also….. sorry for posting Manly 30+ yesterday.

Agreed re our edges being dog 💩 however let me provide a few examples just off the top of my head:

  • dce kicking on tackle 3 in first half when we had them on the ropes at 16 nil
  • Garrick missing a sitter from basically infront
  • dce kicking out on the full in the 2nd half (i think trying to find touch)
  • Brooks kicking a terrible bomb giving them a 7 tackle set
  • Brooks giving to much space to their winger to brush away from him with pace to score
  • Garrick not passing to an open winger for a try
  • poor setup for a field goal by both halves

Not having a crack at you personally but there was so many poor efforts from some of these guys who aren't spring chickens Imo. I may be being over critical but just really disappointed with their efforts last night... no one stood up when it mattered
I think the truth sits somewhere in the middle. We can look at games that we win and find 3-5 examples of play breaking down. It happens in every game because players aren’t perfect. They make mistakes whether we win or lose. Often, we make more mistakes in games we lose, further illuminating the errors.

I look at last night’s game and I sum up the loss as an incapacity to account for injuries, rather than poor performances from individuals, but that’s just me.

The sad part about this, lots of good performances from our backs and forwards.
But alas, nothing to show for it.
thats why although I havent really said this before ,but I blame either Seibold or DCE ,and probably more DCE, as those trick kicks and low % plays before 1/2 time and in the 2nd 40 just terrible and thats DCEs decisions .Which ultimately let us down .As I and others have said in another post this is a repeating pattern-- skip away to a big lead, get arrogrant, do low% plays/kicks etc and then get beaten in last few minutes ,giving all concerned misery.
Ill never forget in the Cowboys game a few years ago that low% pass DCE threw to someone with 7 minutes to go that got intercepted and the Cowboys scored 3 trys I think ,we never touch the ball again and we get beaten on the bell. And for me last night the kick to Clayton at 1/2 time and the attempted 20/40 when we were on a roll were multiple turning points self inflicted.
Just soul destroying .
Anyways im not going to let it ruin my weekend beyond what it did to me last night.

It was as if Evans had to showcase his kicking game again like last game. Except this time it wasn't needed.

Once upon a time we would games because we played good, played better than the opposition regardless how good they played.

I'm slowly coming to the realisation our results now are detirmined by the opposition not us, they play bad we win they play good we lose, we are **** every week, just made to look better every second week by how the opposition play.

Really says something when you lose to a team that got booed off the field at halftime by their own fans. I think this is a new low in the Mestrov, Seibold, DCE era of pathetic efforts.
Agree, why we didn't steamroll them through the middle through the forwards in the 2nd half is just mystifying. We were rolling through with good post contact yardage also, couldn't Evans see this. Talau's try stood out like a beacon but our Capt didn't notice this ..mmm..

What was missing was Paseka and Aloiai rolling the team up the middle, these 2 injuries have really impacted Manlys go forward and while Sipley had a decent game, imagine if they had 3 players like them getting easy yards. Bullimore tries hard but he is no No 8, get the big boppers back on the field asap and fortunes will change....hopefully.
You and @Rocky are really scraping the barrel now. We missed Aloia and Paseka rolling up the field. The Knights missed Saifiti, Elliot, Hetherington, Thompson and Frizell. We are are the excusathon club. A place where there is no accountability when team selections roll around. Where a fringe first grader like Corey Waddell can find a permanent place in the game day squad, comfortable in knowing that our coach doesn't concern himself with the result, for he is a cuddly man always pleased with some imaginary fight or spirit. Especially when we play like shiit against shiit teams.

Mate, I started a whole discussion on that very topic last week, but was roundly ridiculed by the usual good judges on here who cannot abide anyone saying anything negative about our SuperCoach and our team of superstars. I think it’s in one of the sack the coach threads.

Interesting that on Instagram Haumole liked the post that the Manly Sea Eagles posted with the loss.
