Young Lehi Hopoate has had a great breakout year and easily deserves this award....up with any rookie across the NRL, though did not feature in enough games to win it.
He just seems to have so much time, especially for a young bloke.
I see him moving to the centres over time....I recall Tom T starting out on the wing, like most rookies eased nto the Top grade.
It was not just his attacking prowess that showcased his ability, a game just 2 weeks ago he made 1 of the best cover tackles on the flying Fox you would ever see, only for them to win a scam penalty after Tom T was racing upfield with the ball.
Looking forward to this bloke in Manly colours for many years to come and can see him scoring 2 tries this weekend with the return of Tom T on some sweep plays.
Great to see Hoppa getting much deserved recognition and seems a real nice, down to earth bloke.....flying the Manly flag off the field , as well as on it !!

Definitely a real bright spot for the season , natural and instinctive young footy player with some serious ability and maturity level and definitely also can defend well, especially in pressure situations
Still would expect fullback to be his most suited position in time , good enough to manage other backline positions while Turbo is still on the scene and just naturally hope that in whatever future scenario , he can stay long term

I think his best position is fullback so it'll be interesting how Manly manage that, given Tom is almost 28. He could play for another 4-5 years.
