Trials are trials.Plenty of good signs amongst the rustiness. Garrick looks the goods which is another positive.These games mean little in a playing sense like Maxta said but anyone who isn’t disappointed and worried about injury toll and depth is kidding themselves.Our depth is non existent and that will be Barrett’s legacy till Des has a cleannout.

Forward depth is woeful unfortunately. Likely replacements are Perrett and Winterstein. That says it all.

Our top 17 with a good coach can compete with most. Injuries and it’s going to be very very ugly.A side with memories of last year needs confidence and a slow start to season could just feed the doubts.

Probably have TT Paseka Tanganoa Korisau Hopoate Walker unavailable for round 1 with another trial to come against the premiers. When will we be cut a break !
