Just on the 2019 signings

First Grader
There's 2 players almost like NEW signings already at the club.
Big Sirro was really starting to improve, as he started using his big frame to punch through the line prior to long term injury and if he recaptures that form will be a massive bonus - tackles ok too.
Api I think was a bigger loss in that ruck area, particularly his rugged defence and when we talk leader, not a big man but plenty aggressive and rips in physically and yaps all day...which went missing.
Not calling these blokes the answer to the prayers after a dismal 2018, but reckon they add steel, attitude and quality - all of which is much needed...

Agree. All we need is speed out wide (like every GOOD team), and even us in Premiership years, and our roster is sweet:

01. Tom Trbojevic
02. Reuben Garrick
03. Brian Kelly
04. Dylan Walker
05.
06. Kane Elgey
07. Daly Cherry-Evans
08. Addin Fonua-Blake
09. Apisai Koroisou
10. Marty Taupau
11. Joel Thompson
12. Curtis Sironen
13. Jake Trbojevic

14. Manase Fainu
15. Kelepi Tanginoa
16. Taniela Paseka
17.

We have Jade Anderson (who outside Walker would be outstanding in my opinion).

Gameso moved past slower / power outside backs like Parker, Suli and Taufua. It's why we scored the least long range tries last year in the game, and in fact the 3 had combines tries of 2 all up didn't they?

Did you just refer to Parker as a power player?

Does Sirro add Steel though ?
I like his line running off Dce .Really hope he has a whole year uninjured ,So we can actually see what we have there.
TBH ,Im not sold on him at all.His position is where we really could do with a blue chip young aggressive, hard hitter.
(Too bad we poor)

The good thing is that by all accounts, we have a few good options in the second row for next year between Sirro, Gosiewski and Waddell (who has been labelled as a future superstar). All 3 have the potential to be solid first graders - it's just a matter of finding who ends up playing the best alongside DCE and Walker.

Excited for next year to be honest. We have a good side and just need some luck with injuries to be a force again.

Api played half the season and our win loss record wasn't that much better when he was there, so not sure on how crucial he is. But he is our best option at 9
Sea Eagles: 1 Tom Trbojevic, 2 Brad Parker, 3 Dylan Walker, 4 Brian Kelly, 5 Akuila Uate, 6 Lachlan Croker, 7 Daly Cherry-Evans (c), 8 Addin Fonua-Blake, 9 Apisai Koroisau, 10 Martin Taupau, 11 Joel Thompson, 12 Jack Gosiewski, 13 Jake Trbojevic
Interchange: 14 Matthew Wright, 15 Shaun Lane, 16 Lloyd Perrett, 17 Taniela Paseka
This was Trents underperforming team that included Api in round 7 2018
It was the eels first win of the season and it took them 7 rounds to get a win and their only win was against Manly and they did it in style by a whopping 44 points to 10 . The mediocre eels team prior to that demolition win against Manly looked incapable of winning a game .
The 44 points to 10 win against Manly was the wooden spooners biggest win of the season against Trents team that included elite players that dominate at rep level games but Trent had them running around like amatures that had no idea as the eels devoured them . There was no spirit or spark from Trents half time pep talk to get his team focused for a second half comeback . Infact Trent proved that he had no answers and no comeback all season as his team struggled all year and were lucky not to take the spoon .
Api is a good player and so are many others in our squad . The only crucial factor was that Trent was incapable of getting his team up .
No idea , absolutely no idea

Agree with that YART although I've never seen Garlic Sandwich play.
I'm thinking Suli could make a bench player. He's big enough to play in the forwards and can fill in the backs.

I'm thinking Brendan Elliott will be in that 5 jersey

I think it'll be Jorge. He's the incumbent and deserves to have a shot in that jersey at least. We will need one winger that can make good metres out of our end anyway. Elliott will be a more than capable option should Jorge or Garrick fail.
