Just Making up the numbers?

How many marquee/ near marquee signings have Penrith made over the last few years? They've lost countless premiership winners and still keep winning. They have 2 or 3 world class players and a lot of average players but it doesn't stop them despite the annual turnover of their squad
Agree, same can be said about Melb as well.

We have Marque players and just about as many as other clubs . Two in the backs and two in the forwards , Turbo , DCE , Jake , Haumole, . Including young rising stars and experienced competent competitors
What we do not have is a Marque coach who can overachieve
Yeah, I get that Bozo. My point is, because we haven't signed anybody of note, and obviously other Clubs are, a lot of our fans are going to question this. I agree with what you say tho, except the Coach bit.

I agree we do have capable players
What we need is for the coach to Inspire the most from the players playing to their optimal potential each week
We also need a smart game plan from the coach

The Moral of the Story ...
The coach plays the music and his players dance
The coach has to find the right Sound in the Dressing Sheds to keep them Staying Alive in the finals and not capitulating like we have been
Get your Boys Up for it Seibold !

A bit about bellamy as a coach. Loses his cool when gameplan isnt followed

Cleary Yeo Leota To'o Martin Edwards - that's 6 who surely are 'world class' (plus one or two others aren't far off that level).
Cleary and Yeo definitely. How many of the others would look world class if parachuted into a different team? That is the difference between being a good player who plays well in a fantastic system and someone who can make a difference.

To'o absolutely is.

Not only the best winger in the league but in the discussion as one of the best of all time.

I’d throw Martin in, would he play any differently anywhere else? Don’t think so, mightn’t have a as glorified a role as the others, but his work on the edge, team effort and intimidation factor is world class for mine.

I believe we have a Great Balance of Experience and Brilliance in our squad .
I also believe The coach does not have just a bit of influence on results . He has a lot of influence on results
Give our squad to a master coach like Bellamy and they will be a different team . A Better team
I think that you will agree with me that Seibold does not have a coaches masters degree

I consider Seibold a capable NRL coach due to his strong tactical acumen, proven ability to develop young talent, and experience in diverse coaching roles.

His tenure as head coach of the South Sydney Rabbitohs showcased his ability to implement effective game strategies that maximised the team's strengths.

Seibold is also known by players for fostering a positive team culture and his capacity to adapt to the unique challenges of different squads.

His prior experience as an assistant coach and his background in player development further enhance his credentials, making him well-equipped to navigate the complexities of the NRL.

He took the team to the finals last season and that was positive improvement.

I don’t see the squad as well balanced, quality in the three quarters that could be sacrificed for a quality forward or two.

What is your view of where he is failing other than comparing him to arguably the best coach in modern history of the game?

Thank you for posting that article feathered friend
We all start our careers as unproven individuals ,
The Individuals that have the capacity not only to keep learning
but to keep Innovating and Inspiring are the ones that go to a higher level .
Bellamy is one of those Individuals

Thank you for your post feathered friend .
At south Sydney he took over a grand final winning roster that was created by their Premiership winning drought breaker Maguire. Premiership Winning Players included Sam Burgess and his brothers , Cody walker , Reynolds , Inglis , Chrighton , Cook etc
Seibold met expectations and took those South Sydney premiership Winning players to the finals .
Then he went to The Broncos and they got their first spoon in the clubs proud history
At Manly in his first Season we missed the top 8
In his second season he met expectations according to our roster and we made the top 8 .

If you have read my previous posts about what I consider a Great coach . I have made my point clear
Great coaches have the ability to overachieve and when they can do that they win Grand finals

Just out of interest, is there something about the culture at Manly that Seibold is creating that you're unhappy with?
We are mentally weak. Not just under Seibold. Have not shown for 10 years (except rare moments) a tough, ruthless attitude. That should be our no. 1 'weapon'.

Yes, there's lots of moving parts.
Coach fired, nope, it's not that simple.
I can tell you 100% guaranteed - what I'm saying is not some type of conjured up theory.
Have a good day!
Yes there are lots of moving parts in the coaching department and it is the head coaches responsibility to over see and to keep them moving forward in the right direction
This is why they put the failing Head coaches head in the Guillotine first
I can also tell you that 100% Guaranteed
Have a great night and be careful shaving in the morning feathered friend

I am glad you brought up mentality. A key winning word feathered friend
Great coaches have the ability get in their players heads , hearts and souls and change their demeanor .
