Just Making up the numbers?

I’ve cancelled all my travels and holidays for the first weekend of Oct 2025.
If Seibold plays the players who deserve and not him mates or influenced by other players.
We can this, Manly 2025 Premiers !!!

Its more of if Seibold lifts his players to overachieve
We can overcome the favorites and Manly will be 2025 Premiers
Does Seibold have it in him ?

I think it needs to come from the players and I think we have that.
I agree we do have capable players
What we need is for the coach to Inspire the most from the players playing to their optimal potential each week
We also need a smart game plan from the coach

The Moral of the Story ...
The coach plays the music and his players dance
The coach has to find the right Sound in the Dressing Sheds to keep them Staying Alive in the finals and not capitulating like we have been
Get your Boys Up for it Seibold !
We were born to be Alive
We were born to be Alive
Born , Born , Born
Born to be Alive !

This Beat applies to All of Us Today Feathered friends
What ever you do today dont do it Half way
Give it all you got and make it a Super Productive winning day !

Well given nearly every premiership coach Manly has ever had has been an ex Manly player might be a good place to start. If i couldn't convince any ex Manly players to coach i would try to bring in a coach from super league with a good win ratio.

In terms of players i would be poaching from broncos and Canberra
Just out of interest, is there something about the culture at Manly that Seibold is creating that you're unhappy with?

There's a team of coaching staff that take care of different areas.
To most supporters the quality of those coaches is an unknown, we can't just point at Seibold for the results (good or bad), there's so many moving parts to consider.

I don’t disagree with the thread tittle, most have us as a lock in the 8 and we probably should be, however I have question marks all over us and won’t be at all surprised if we struggle, our pack, our 9, our game speed, game management, the origin period, depth, mental aptitude, fitness, I’ll throw our coach in to boot, no point banging on, we’ll just have to wait and see and hopefully I’m wrong, however I think a lot people on here are very one eyed sometimes, my heart wants Manly premiers 2025, my head on the other hand is very conflicted off the back of genuine concerns.
We will be lucky to finish in the top ten, other teams have bought a lot better, we roughly have the same team
Aging half back and Jake

So basically what you are saying is sack everyone , the coach , the football department , the players and build from scratch ( poaching not developing ) ???
We need to continue to develop, but mostly we need to stop letting the best players go. For example, we clearly have a forward problem, so why on earth did we let Fonua-Blake go? We did the same back when we let Waeira-Hargeaves go all those years ago. We win easily in 2013 if he is on our team and not Easts team. There is a litany of players we have let go, and yes, I know we can't keep them all, but the main reason for that is our marquee players no longer accept "unders" to stay in the way the great 2008 side did. I get it they have limited time in the game, but DCE started that in 2014 and the Turbos have understandably followed suit. The top sides like the purple filth, Easts, donkeys and even the Riff either have players on "unders" or players on big third-party deals and we simply don't have that.

I can see us struggling this year, however we are every chance of making the 8, just think a lot has to go our way and I agree, re the make up of our squad.

Watching the Raiders yesterday, they look to have improved a lot, going on that performance alone it’s hard to say they won’t be there, but it’s a long year and depth may be their question mark. Anyway lets see how we go.

I was impressed by the Raiders but they have purple patches every year. I don't think they've got the stamina to produce that sort of thing, week in, week out. It should also be noted that (a) the Warriors were rudderless and (b) Canberra made a number of handling errors off risky offloads and the better sides would have made them pay. It's not a knock on Canberra per se, because they were still great, but it's one game of footy in a very long season.

This is where all the anguish and negativity comes from on here, us not buying a marque or near marque player or players this season. We've got, Kaula, Bully, and the slow burn Paseka allready to go to that next level. Not to mention Lehi who is already at that level now. First 3 or 4 games will give us a guide to our prospects for 2025.

How many marquee/ near marquee signings have Penrith made over the last few years? They've lost countless premiership winners and still keep winning. They have 2 or 3 world class players and a lot of average players but it doesn't stop them despite the annual turnover of their squad

So many moving parts to consider ?
Consider this
When a team does not fire . The Head coach gets fired first and that is a fact .
Thank you for your theory feathered friend

The Marquee signings that Matter and Made so Much of a Difference to the Panthers success
are the Bright People they Invested in . From the Head office to the Head coach

We have Marque players and just about as many as other clubs . Two in the backs and two in the forwards , Turbo , DCE , Jake , Haumole, . Including young rising stars and experienced competent competitors
What we do not have is a Marque coach who can overachieve

Correction feathered friend
We have an Ageless Halfback who is injury free and is playing as well as ever
As far as Jake goes he still has the defensive resolute that is capable of winning grand finals
We have a blend of Brilliance and speed in the backs , and Size and experience up front
We also Hope for the best that the Head coach can to put it all together .
The Head Coach is responsible for selecting his coaching staff and he is responsible for recruiting the players and what position they play and he is responsible for the game plan and how his players play on game day .Which makes him accountable for the Results is a Results driven Business

Yes, there's lots of moving parts.
Coach fired, nope, it's not that simple.
I can tell you 100% guaranteed - what I'm saying is not some type of conjured up theory.
Have a good day!

Not a fair comparison, our junior nursery would be a fraction of theirs and our Juniors have beaches & pretty girls to distract them. Their Juniors have footy and bush pigs to choose from.
