As a manly fan you just get sick of the bull****. The list is endless with most recently the prospect of losing our home final ( not for the first time ) and now to be relocated. The sheer arrogance that they havnt even entered rights negotiations concerns them little, nor the fact they might piss off the other side off before negotioations by promising to demolish heritage listed sites as soon as the formalities are over. Not a concern when bidding for a commodity that makes or breaks there network. Wow such confidence.

All of this **** comes from just a few sources people. The media monopoly in the country is criminal and is a manipulative empire driven by profit with very little moral standing. And the Footy can be a very big part of peoples lives , and the audacity of the people who throw our culture around, in pursuit of a quick buck while completely destroying the game and communities. channel 9 arraogance and attitude is to be expected but it seems NRL leadership is again absent or . Lets just hope its absent anyway.

And its not just us. As with the contenders and pretenders in the premiership so too are the social standings of the clubs in the NRL , and the subsequent rails run these contenders receive for there loyalty and power they bring , basicly to maintain the status quo.

IF channel 9 is too hold the balance of power for our clubs then collectiveley we should be sending channel 9 a message of what we think of Neville ****ing Malone opinion .

make channel 9 , and these tabloid wankers obsolete in your lives. Apart from the odd injury news when was the last time a journalist revealed something interesting.
Turn them all off, tell everyone to turn them off, pay prople to turn them off.

if you have to watch the footy you can if you turn the rest off.

Souths got the numbers after the event and while Manlys fans dont all live in Manly that is our strength. We are a large diverse community with much reach in all demographics and we are a tv audience.

Address the problem i say.

And the current admin and its coziness with the broadcasters and those that provide protection ARE THE PROBLEM. You can only get change when it affects bottom line. And if you want todd out its the only way. Its too cozy

That bit on the Sunday Footy show where Sterling talks with the journalists, Webster , Read and some other imbecile, they were talking about Manlys injury worries. To paraphrase they were saying things like " They're gone","Don't think they were going to be a threat even without the injuries" and then someone says "We're really laying into Manly" and they all giggle like a bunch of little girls. Bunch of wankers.

The only time I watch any 9 coverage is during origin when I have no choice. And even then it’s a fine line between watching live or waiting for the fox replay. It was good to see on Fox big league Hooper, Enis and Cook coming to the defense of us keeping our final and not blowing The incident out of proportion, despite Vons best attempts to highlight it at the top of the show.

Same here Waz13. I dont watch them any other time either, cant stand the clowns

What this translates to is they're actually worried about Manly.
Des needs to show the players what these dribbling idiots are saying. Get them fired up for the finals.
I know the injuries are bad but our team has spirit. We've beaten three of the top four sides already this year.

Seems we’re under the radar. Phew!

Been watching Fox for ages anyway so it's rare I see the dribble on Channel 9. I don't necessarily see it as anti Manly but it's just awful quality by people who were good players but are awful commentators who have no place in the media on merit.

Fox isn't perfect but it's light years ahead of 9.

Amazing how the vultures come out the moment Manly look most vulnerable.

But if Des and team wanted a bit of extra motivation they got it. Siege mentality time and I believe we have the troops to make the grand final, and feel it no less likely with the available squad.

We have the talent.

I rarely watch 9
Had Foxtel but that was getting bad with all there channels showing same thing again and again
So now just have Kayo even though it is Foxtel but has so many better features and 1/2 the price for sport

They’re just reacting to the fact that they wrote us off at the beginning of the season as none of them saw us making the finals, so now look stupid.

Sterlo just has it for manly,Freddie strangely believe it or not is the only one with half a brain stating you have to have a side over the bridge in Sydney.Where are those buyers from Qatar supposedly let them buy the club that way the nrl can go to hell.

Amazon are buying into live sports rights (to stream) and YouTube have dabbled. It is the future, not FTA.
The imbeciles at NRL hq won't get ahead of the trend and will sign a watered down version of the last contract.
NRL should have a decent user pays APP such as the MLB have.

It is a tough one as no nine = reduced money for the club etc
There is no way Nine is going to give up the TV rights, they have no other sport content apart from some tennis.
This is just a cat and mouse play by them leading up to the next TV rights

Suck **** channel 9, wanting to kick the Sharks out one day and then the next ringing the NRL to try and change the weekends draw so they can televise a Sharks game.

Madge’s decision on retiring Farah
Channel 9 has done a sudden backflip on its agenda to cut Sydney’s NRL teams, at least when it suits their TV ratings this weekend.

The network’s director of sport Tom Malone is now apparently a fan of suburban football and wants to cover the Wests Tigers v Cronulla Sharks blockbuster at Leichhardt Oval that will decide eighth position for the finals.

The Daily Telegraph can reveal Malone rang the NRL on Sunday night to try to switch coverage of the two Sunday games in the final round this weekend.

It definitely won’t be on Channel 9, but you can stream Tigers v Sharks on KAYO SPORTS. Live & On-Demand on your TV, computer, mobile or tablet. Get your 14-day free trial and start streaming instantly >

Fox Sports has exclusive rights to the Wests Tigers v Cronulla Sharks game that is expected to be the highest-rating Fox Sports rugby league game in history.

Meanwhile, the Nine network has been left with a match with no impact on the finals — the Penrith Panthers against the Newcastle Knights — after having their request rejected to switch games.

“On Sunday they’re on the front page wanting a team like Cronulla to be kicked out,” one official said.

“Next day they’re ringing up desperately trying to get coverage of one of their games.”

Of Channel 9’s four NRL games this weekend, only one has any finals relevance — Thursday night’s derby between South Sydney and the Sydney Roosters, where the Rabbitohs are trying to lock in a top-four spot.

Nine sports boss Tom Malone (right) wants to show the Tigers v Sharks clash.
On Friday, Fox Sports has the 6pm blockbuster between Parramatta and Manly, while the 7.50pm game is Melbourne up against North Queensland.

Saturday night is even worse with the Channel 9 game being the battle of the bottom between the Gold Coast and St George Illawarra, before Sunday’s inconsequential Penrith v Newcastle clash at 4pm.

The Sunday Telegraph revealed one of Sydney’s nine NRL clubs was facing extinction as rugby league broadcaster Channel 9 plans to accommodate a second Brisbane team.

Over the weekend Malone declared: “It’s a hard decision (to kick out teams) but probably one that needs to be made in the longer term interests of the game.

“That could come from another team being relocated there, or better still another club being discontinued and a new club established in Brisbane.”

Blues legend and Channel 9 commentator Brad Fittler later towed the company line, calling for the Sharks to move to Perth and the Sea Eagles to move to Gosford.

An NRL spokesman confirmed Nine’s approach to change the Sunday schedule has been declined.

Lol monkey typist Buzz seems a bit angry!

"Fox Sports has exclusive rights to the Wests Tigers v Cronulla Sharks game that is expected to be the highest-rating Fox Sports rugby league game in history." - In history? And expected by who exactly?

Er, one official from where? Buzz, you just made that one up. "You're a friggen square-bottom fibber head." one official said.
