Those two clubs as examples reinforces the need for $$$$ and a club willing to play the long game with a coach.
Storm and Bulldogs since Landy involved at dogs both are cashed up clubs.
Yes invested in a young coach with a long game plan. But $$$$$ spent on getting junior stars to the club and staffing far exceeding Manly.
At Manly Ciraldo would get the sack when the coach was trying to change a loser culture with a wrestling session that resulted in some players including their Captain at the time, throwing toys out of the cot.
Manly and Seibold might actually be in a very similar places right now. Captain DCE has absolutely thrown his toys out, and the culture of this group with Captain DCE has been crap, it needs change.
Manly won't back Seibold like Dogs backed Ciraldo at this same point. Club is too emotionally inclined to Sackings. But in any event Manly $$$$ just won't get recent premiership winning rep players like Button, Crichton, Kikau and Tuipinoua in during a re-build. Won't have the $$$$$ buying plenty of outstanding juniors to grow into the team. Dogs are stacked below right now and Storm have been for a decade.
No point us arguing over if Seibold is the right coach or a smart coach at the moment......
We need Manly successful, and moving forward, be that with or without Seibs as the Coach, it will need $$$$$ invested to get this club back being a premiership power house.
And who ever the coach, will need a club willing to give him time, let him piss of players who don't buy into his culture changing ways.
Just may be the problem at Manly is Manly. If $$$$ and time is what any smart coach needs. Is Manly the club where you can grow?
No point getting rid of a coach unless you have someone better to replace him with.New coach
New approach
It rhymes
It is a sign of the times
Lets Do It
Nothing more to see with Seibold
We have seen enough
l know you're a bit of a Fulton disciple Bozo, he made some good acquisitions over his tenure, but the Fainu's, not to sure. It's not as if they are kicking the door down, they've been with the Tigpies for a spoon last year and 5 straight losses including a spanking 64 - 0 from Melb this season. And the other one is breaking rocks in the can for who knows how long.We have not been able to recruit better players than we lose
We have sacked Scott Fulton who had recruited most of all those young players in our team and others that are playing against us
Who do we sack Now . Who is responsible for our Dads army Manly retirement recruitment .
Last but not least . The 4 year Brooks Bargain buy of the century Turned out to be We got t we paid for . We paid for a player that did not deliver at the Tigers and was released when they started a serious rebuilding new era and we got Nothing New from the same old Brooks .
Better to poach jnrs from other clubs, rather than develop them, it's easy and less stressful.Agree, we are no longer a rich club, and that is unlikely to change in the foreseeable future. It follows that for us to be successful, we need to focus on junior development, pathways and Manly DNA. If we can’t attract talent, we need to develop our own and try to motivate them to stay based on club culture. Otherwise, it’s just death by a thousand cuts. We need to abandon the “premiership window” nonsense and get behind a coach with a development mindset and approach, preferably with a Manly background.
The Warriors have plenty of spares, haven't we got a recruitment guy in NZ looking for the next big signing.Hopefully we can jump on a fringe prop from the Warriors or Roosters or something before June 30. We've lost two starting front rowers so surely someone wants the chance to fast track their run into a regular FG spot.
We knew what we were buying, he's a runner of the ball and not a playmaker. At least we didn't pay overs for him.We have not been able to recruit better players than we lose

Sorry feathered friend but that is not the case .We knew what we were buying, he's a runner of the ball and not a playmaker. At least we didn't pay overs for him.

The Tigers may not be winning under Benji but they have invested in winners with the Fainus
The No point Perspective ....No point getting rid of a coach unless you have someone better to replace him with.
True and They were Underwhelmed by the the mediocre mentor that lead them there .True, the Fainus are winners.....of the spoon.

Yep, and all of that too.Sorry feathered friend but that is not the case .
We thought we were buying a bargain buy with potential that was not full filled in his last decade at the Tigers and Boy where we wrong .
Unfortunately there is no premiership window in the brick wall Manly have hit. Only eight faded vignettes of past glory. Unless there is change at the top of the club and the NRL stops doing whatever it can to cut Manly down, I fear it’s all over. Get rid of the captain too - now; he’s got rid of Manly.Agree, we are no longer a rich club, and that is unlikely to change in the foreseeable future.
