Plenty of clubs with similar dramas mate cough cough, nothing to see or unique about itThe good old Blue & White (line) Bulldogs...........shocked, I am.
not too soon that was funny, kinda catchySo the new club song
Who let the dogs out
Sniff sniff sniff
Who let the dogs out
Too soon
They are always the victim and it is never their fault! He still doesn’t think he has done anything wrong, what a tool
Agree... maybe the fact that the Football Manager is also a high-profile commentator may have painted the dogs into a corner on this one? I suspect all parties are pretty p*ssed off tbh...And that is why, despite the very fair points made @frank stokes , I still feel like there is something amis here.
If the dogs had played it down, even with the rumours going around, there is a scenario where they may have been able to skate through this with minimal damage.
The way Gus has handled it is very different to how I was trained in crisis management (not saying he is wrong just different) - considering how public he has been with the denials etc you can see how this is now bringing the game into disrepute
Big difference between getting drug tested by NRL at training and being pulled over by the police for driving under the influence. I think Addo-Carnt is finished in the blue and white.Given the NRL stance on first offence, I doubt the Bulldogs can sack him now.
It’s a very interesting situation given it appears JAC lied or gave the club his version of the truth.Gould came out strongly defending him and it was only a few weeks ago Gould was very strong with his opinion about Souths and how they’ve handled the Latrell sagaI'm not sure he'll be sacked (nor am I sure he wont be) but we've heard a lot of the years:
"Rugby League is a game of second chances."
- translation - if you have talent, that'll be extended to 7 or 8 chances.
So Josh can roll out a mea culpa, the club can say they're going to help him, and no sackings warranted.
So either way, I just wanted to balance out the "He has to go" thoughts with the above. I've certainly thought that about players in the past only to have the club embrace their talent, I mean embrace the human with forgiveness.
I feel like a broken record banging on about this again but for the life of me I can’t understand why he kept denying that he did not take any drugs and is innocent, I know some footballers are as thick as pig **** but is he that stupid or did he think he could weasel his way out of it someway? Don’t get me wrong I love the guy and I’m gutted about it but just think it’s ridiculous how he handled itAgree... maybe the fact that the Football Manager is also a high-profile commentator may have painted the dogs into a corner on this one? Yeah, gmf... why does a bloke with a guaranteed lifetime paycheck on the table go and stab a bloke at a church dance - over somebody else's drug debt??I feel like a broken record banging on about this again but for the life of me I can’t understand why he kept denying that he did not take any drugs and is innocent, I know some footballers are as thick as pig **** but is he that stupid or did he think he could weasel his way out of it someway?
