Yes, he was clearly struggling.Would not be surprised to see Wright out injured for a couple of weeks.
Better to have him ready to go for the finals and you have Parker waiting.

You missed my point. I'm was not trying to criticize Wright, I was discussing Taufua's ability to start our sets off on the right foot; Barrett has said so himself so I know I am not dreaming this up. Wright made plenty of yards and took plenty of carries yesterday and he is a wonderful replacement on the wing but he gets dominated by the defence and the opposition can lay all over him for longer.Jorge had never been one for quick play the balls and Wright was awesome today with his hard yards, 200 metres of them. One of our best and scored 2 nice tries. I don't know what more you could of expected of him.
I love Jorge, but if you watch the game again you will see Wright making plenty of runs from our own end. Most of the time he would make 10-12 metres and was not put on his back much at all. Considering he didn't make any long line breaks, 200 hard won metres was an exceptional effort. And I don't think Jorge would have made much more of an impact than what Wright did in yesterday's game. Put it this way, if Trent Barrett was offered 200 running metres, 2 tries and solid defence before the game by playing Wright. And had the choice to bring in Jorge instead, I'm pretty sure he'd stick with Wright. I'm merely saying that we in fact didn't miss Jorge yesterday because Wrights performance was top shelf. You missed my point. Taufua might have a careful play-the-ball but it's (a) not slow, it's careful, (b) he wins penalties consistently, and (c) he cannot be put on his back and dominated, meaning he is allowed to rise and play-the-ball earlier by the officials.
Fair enough...we are spoilt having Wright available as cover. He is a genuine first grader and only missed out on a premiership with the Cowboys through injury.I love Jorge, but if you watch the game again you will see Wright making plenty of runs from our own end.
