Thoughts about hoppa playing 6. Has footy smarts.
Perhaps, also maybe Fulalo?? Thought Fulalo displayed good handling skills on Sunday. Would either player have kicking skills?Thoughts about hoppa playing 6. Has footy smarts.
You’re using Newcastle as your example?I don’t think Turbo needs to kick at 5/8, look at Sharpe for Newcastle.
I’d just turn Arthur into a 13 so we have an extra kicking option
I fail to see how asking turbo to make 20+ tackles per game against big edge forwards and playing a roving 5/8 game is any easier on him. Keep him at full back and weigh up other options.Turbo will be 5/8. Save his career. Less running. Less hit ups. Fullback is a very demanding position. Will benefit and prolong toms career. There needs to be questions over how much he and Jake make though. Far too much. Croker Sipley Waddell Brown Lodge to name a few will need to go. We will create almost 2 million of cap space to go after 3 or 4 good forwards and a hooker. Solves the where does Hoppa fit in conundrum also.
I laugh at all these suggestions about moving Tom to avoid injury or even lessen his workload. He’s arguably the best fullback in the game and his impact far outweighs the two other options(not saying they’re not good backups)I fail to see how asking turbo to make 20+ tackles per game against big edge forwards and playing a roving 5/8 game is any easier on him. Turbo is a horrible kicker. It's the truthI think many of you are neglecting the fact that Seibold was going to through Onitoni into a trial against men, if he was allowed. From what I can tell, he is physically nearly at an NRL-ready level. Despite being younger, I reckon he's more likely to be ready in 2026 than Walsh.
I'd have
1. Turbo
5. Hoppa
6. Large
7. Brooks
If need be, put Turbo at 5/8. He can actually kick. AFL originally wanted him as a junior, and he actually kicked a few bombs last year.
Based upon what sample size?Turbo is a horrible kicker. It's the truth
He has kicked numerous times over the years. And it isn't very pretty. Not a natural kicker by any meansBased upon what sample size?
Less running. He doesn't get injured from the contact. He pulls hammys. Fullback is too much for himI fail to see how asking turbo to make 20+ tackles per game against big edge forwards and playing a roving 5/8 game is any easier on him. Keep him at full back and weigh up other options.
Yeah great but his body can't handle the demands of a modern day fullback.I laugh at all these suggestions about moving Tom to avoid injury or even lessen his workload. He’s arguably the best fullback in the game and his impact far outweighs the two other options(not saying they’re not good backups)
He works well at centre in rep football because there’s other rep quality players all around him and it’s played a different way to the structured format of club footy. As for 5/8,has he ever played there before?
Does kicking put more pressure on those hamstrings?I think many of you are neglecting the fact that Seibold was going to through Onitoni into a trial against men, if he was allowed. This is the Joey Walsh thread.Does kicking put more pressure on those hamstrings?
