Are you saying there is a correlation between having a Polynesian background And laziness in defence in Rugby League?

If so, what is the optimal amount of Polynesian players to have in the team to avoid not doing enough in D?

It's more the giant body shapes of the Islanders and their ability to keep tackling, moving, tackling. Smaller guys like Api do a shiitload of D.

The roosters and Melb have the mix about right.

With Des coaching Proctor he’d be worth a look. Been playing outside Taylor who has struggled for a long time. As soon as Taylor returned to form he’s gone great. Depends on cash of course. Bellamy had him going great.
Sione Fainu is the guy I’m looking forward to in a couple of years. At Flegg origin level he went better than Shuster and Burbot easily. And a young Islander dude from Parra who is sensational - name eludes me right now.

Schuster has to be elevated next season [ if it does not still happen this season ] and after Cust re signing and Walker still on the scene , would have to think back row but then Haumole also on current indications should be high on the list as a Thommo replacement . Looks like it is going to be a transition process and also to accommodate the good array of forwards already established or emerging in the Manly forward grouping going forward . .

Considering 60 percent of players in the NRL are Polynesian i think this is a misconception.
