Sad to hear he has retired after that sickening ankle break.
Amazing how a fit young person can have suffered such a complex fracture on such a soft wet surface. All the best to him
Puts into perspective the 'large' salaries we think footballers earn, doesn't it?
Sad for the young Bronco, hope he can find something in the NRL as a career.
Sad news. He had a stellar career in nrl ahead of him. Good luck Jaral. Just heard the broncs have a job for him.
Love the game but gee it's dangerous. Had to take my mother to emergency on Saturday. In the 4 hours we were there no less than five blokes, still in their footy gear, came in with various suspected breaks. At least the NRL blokes do get a fair whack of money to do what these plumbers and brickies and bank tellers do for the 'glory'.
all the best Jharal, he still did everything everything in the game except win a GF!
Never won a Charity Shield either mate. We all know that's the pinnacle of the game.
he would have pocketed about a million dollars in his time playing origin and all which is about 15 times the average Australian salary, he now has 10 entire years to find a different career path. Sounds like the salaries are pretty big when you get a decade to change career path.
