Jerseys!!

I went to the manly susperstore today to buy a jersey and man the quality is terrible, he stitching is all threaded and looking like it will pick apart. I'm. It going to spill 160 on that when I can get it for 100 in the U.K. Delivered to my door.

I looked at them at rebel and it's the same story!

Canada has this stupid tax rule where they ping ya for 'importing' clothes. Like they even have a clothing industry! It's ridiculous....here, we don't sell these jerseys but we will tax the hell outta them as you're bringing in clothes.

wankers

I got mine today, $144 with the members discount. Sizes are small, I got a medium and I probably could've got a small if I was keen to put it all on show. No lottoland on mine, and I prefer it that way.

Gotta agree Dan I went to rebel in Sydney two weeks ago with the intention of picking up a jersey. I tried it on and it was all good until I took a close look at it, looked like it would be lucky to survive the washing machine.

So I went to another Rebel and same story. Then I came across the famous Mick Simmons store and all the same.

I like the design and have brought up to 4 jerseys some seasons but I am unlikely to indulge this year.

Not sure what the go is with UK stuff but I just brought on ebay

1. a music book that is $100 everywhere in Australia, posted from UK total cost only $49.

2. A Bob Dylan 5 vinyl set which is $199 at JB Hi Fi, posted from UK $94.

Shop around peeps even with postage the Old Dart is good for books, music and sporting goods.

I can't believe you'd prefer a jersey covered with sponsorship graffiti than one which is pure in design. Not only do the sponsored logos ruin the look it also dates the jersey. Why would you want to promote an overseas gambling brand anyway?
The design of all RL jerseys have been ruined by sponsorship logos. You never see American football, baseball or basketball jerseys being compromised by corporate logos.
This is why I prefer the Manly heritage jersey from the late 1950s with the massive white eagle on the front and the two white stripes running the length of the long sleeves. It is a classic, imo.

1987 jersey wouldn't be as iconic without WORMALD though.

A Warriors jersey just got shredded in a "melee" and their made by Canterbury, so not much better quality there

Are our stripes meant to be white and the maroon ran in the wash? Or are they pink?

NO PINK FOR YOU!

erm... they are small white stripes...8 in all to represent our 8 premierships.

guess with the white/red combo so close together, it could look like whatever white and red make... I dunno

Sorry @Dan, I've been away over the off-season. Are you in back from the Netherlands?
Just here for work, go home on Friday

As for the jerseys I went into rebel yesterday and had chat to the guy there he said all the classic brand ones have high returns and the quality is pretty poor across the board. So it's not unique but the price is ridiculous.
