Jason Saab

Will somebody accept my offer to pay for a montage / lowlight reel of Saab’s knock-ons.

If I had time I’d do it myself. The joke is on the coaches too, not him. I’ve got no doubt they and he have tried to fix his hands but it clearly hasn’t worked yet somehow he holds his spot. Also shows how much faith the coaching staff has in the squad players. And Faulolo is not answer.

Wingers usually don’t win games but they can lose them. It’s very unprofessional and we’re sick of it.

I love Saab’s speed & the whole shut the gate feeling once he’s in open space with the ball, but I’ve NEVER felt confident in his defensive abilities & ability to hit the ball up from inside our 40.

Yes, he’s improved in hitting the ball up but he’s still not convincing as a line breaker.

Unfortunately he’ll never fill out physically to be as solid as Tupou because if his genetics - he’s of Nigerian stock & they are genetically tall & lean.

I also think he suffers from a bit of “imposter” syndrome (a couple of seasons ago when he said his father told him he had to start ripping in & not worry about getting hurt gave me that impression) which affects his confidence.
I remember long time ago, there was a player (not sure who he played for) has issues with his hand / drop ball. His club got his eyes tested and found he had a problem with his sights and once they dealt with this, his became a decent player. Not sure if we should do this to see if it is something that needs fixing off the field.

giving out ridiculously long contracts seems to be a manly norm. nothing makes a player more slack than easy money for five or ten years. Dce is a perfect example
100% and its not just slacking off, form slumps, injuries, perhaps players get to old and to slow, the game moves on, we need to remain as flexible as possible, sure building a squad is good but 3 years with options in the clubs favour should be toward the upper limit.
