Massive Hodges fan here.

Lyon is a class above though, one of the best centres I have seen in my time.

I rate Lyon alongside Fulton as Manly's all time best centre pairing. Have a lot of respect of Hodges, but he doesnt have the scope of playing options Lyon has. Hodges is tough and hard running, a strong competitor. Lyon glides across the turf and seems to always have time to do what he wants, somewhat like his name sake Cliff Lyons and Mark Ella. It just seems too easy for them.

Killer is the ultimate professional who has more leadership in his little finger than Hodges could ever hope to have.

Hodges had great attributes but could never match Killer's skills and the calming influence that he still gives our team, where as Hodges was a niggly hot head who took serious liberties on the field at times.

Killer by a country mile for me!!
