Jake T.

I saw a report on Robbie O'Davies and how "even" as a winger he now suffers from memory loss - cant even remember his premierships, etc.

I'd hate for that to happen to anyone...but would really hate for it to happen to our Jake.

Yep. Age catches up with all of us unfortunately. Some sooner than others. Jake has a decision to make THIS YEAR. I hope he makes that decision and not someone else. I have mentioned in other threads that I think he would be brilliant as a key part of our coaching staff. That's where his future is with the club. We need that heart and soul and Manly DNA there as much as on the field.
We are on the same page feathered friend

Jake has had a Great Career
And we all want to Remember him being Great
Seeing any of our Manly Greats declining is heart wrenching
Bravery is not all about keep playing till you Drop
It is also Being Brave enough to Stop Whilst you are at the Top

Yeah the wife, lol. Women.

Actually a woman once tried to tell me that men are typically hoping to ingratiate themselves with other men when they use those classic put-downs of their women folk, such as the nagging missus bit. What do you reckon, @BOZO?
What does Bozo the Funny Forum Clown Reckon ?
Well Let me tell you feathered friend

Its Woman are from Venus and Men are from Mars
and Its each to their own

I'm more surprised Moses was picked in the 6 over luai
I've seen 2 or 3 Tiger games and Luai must be a big disappointment to Benji, so far. He's trying and I know he used to be a half as a junior but all his great running game has been missing. So far anyway.

Has steroid use been linked to memory loss?

Asking for a friend…
Well spotted! Probably. Also alcohol use (guzzle guzzle guzzle), recreational drugs, falling off your bike as a kid.
Those lawyers will prevent payouts for any of those old players trying to hustle a windfall just because their brains are mashed!

Tbf to Jerome, the amount of times he gets the ball out in front of him is negligible (and usually only when it comes direct from Api at DH)… he is also not the beneficiary of fast PTBs like he was at Riff…

All foreseeable when he signed but I watch Tigpies most weeks and he is not playing particularly badly…

It is also a DNA factor
The Fact is lots of people / players run but not all get knee replacements
Lots of people / players / Boxers get head knocks but not all suffer memory loss

For example , I played sport , Head butting the ball in soccer , head hunted and hitting my head on the ground in League . Getting back handers on my head for not listening to the teacher in class .
I may have lost the hair on my head but the Memory is still Great
I still Remember All the Manly premiership Winning Greats . The Great Immortal Bob Fulton , The Great Jamie Lyon , The Great Wombat and the Snake . The List Goes on and I Remember All of them . My memory has not missed a beat . But I must say I miss the hair on my head

Steroids affect all parts of the body
The Head the Heart the Penis the Lot

Arnold the Body builder took more steroids than any one
He has had Heart issues
But his DNA memory is still Good
The DNA does play a role

You possibly need another checkup.

I know it probably gives your ego a boost, but ever think about taking a break from being the morally superior arbiter of what’s acceptable? I’m sure “women folk” would be unacceptable to someone, so best make sure your own house is in order before projecting onto others. Have a good day, and try to smile every now and again, the world will probably survive without your moral policing for a few hours.

Agree. Moses and Cleary too similar for mine. Need a running threat.
Johns made the point also that they are both right foot kickers whilst Luai kicks with his left… Moses is a better kicker (gun) but you have Cleary for those towering bombs and Luai is sufficient for the kicks in general play…

Moses was great last year but, with Cleary back, Luai was the safer choice for mine as there is a real risk that Cleary and Moses get in each others way and Moses’ kicking game suffers from playing left side…

Agree with all that. Probably won’t matter because the qld side looks pretty poor.
