Only change I'd make is Mateo to the bench with Leary in his place. I feel Leary is a player who thrives off a workload. Needs a full 80mins. Mateo is more of an impact player right now.

Am super impressed how Jake is not following the usual approach when young props come into first grade: try to show everyone how tough you are, give away penalties, make silly mistakes and get injured.

He is smashing people with textbook-like tackling, particularly on tryline, having efficient carries, and doing great work off the ball. He looks a lot brighter than the average young prop. We have another real footballer in the team, not just a one-dimensional power prop. Watch out when he fills out in the next few years and develops more ball skills.

Great post!!! I'm a huge fan of jake but to be honest hadn't even seen that side but it's spot on. He isn't running around being a tool he is whacking players legally in tackles and doing his best to win us the game, not show everybody he is a he man.
