This needed to be said. Losing so badly hurts like hell. But carrying on like a pork chop has zero impact on making it better.

It hurts like hell and is such a let down to see my side in the current state of disarray.
Look at the topics on the board and its all about the ****e coach, his ****e players, the ****e owners and the ****e situation we are currently in AFTER ROUND 4.....
there was a thread pre season about our first 4 games. most admitted we would be lucky if we were 1 from 4 at this point. well we are 0 from 4 having played....
The rooters - best side of the last 4 years - stacked with talent and brown paper bags
The rabbits - Form side of this year so far - backed by celebrity and deep deep pockets
The Panthers - Very much Manly 2008 i feel - watch the space

and to those who have us locked into the wooden spoon 4 weeks in.... look at the upside that while des may drive us to the spoon this year we would have already won it by now had TB stayed and still been coaching us.

To be fair (to bee faiir, toobee farrr) this reaction is not solely based on the first 4 rounds EoL but rather the steam releasing from the culmination of 5 years of underperforming where we have scraped into the finals and quickly exited twice...
The last 10 rounds last year were embarrassing and this start has just sent some of us over the edge because it somehow manages to get worse each week...
Its great that we have positive supporters like you who keep the faith but I personally would like to see us moving in a direction that may fix this and offloading good players whilst refusing to introduce youth or hold big money players accountable is not good enough imo...
Signing blokes like Morgan / Tulipotoulu (Blacktown) and the Warriors hooker is head-shaking stuff... and then there is Foran who is slow and busted when we had Shoo/Cust who can do just as well/poorly but are young and may develop...
just frustrating to watch what we have become...
as for Des v Trent- well if you think a wooden spoon is somehow made better by having a 'Manly legend' in charge that sold us out and refuses to change his course despite seeing the giant iceberg in front of us.... well, good luck to you... I dont...

Couldn't agree more, mate.
Our 0 and 4 is not a commendable, "Gee, aren't they battling hard?" 0 and 4. We're getting flogged every game. And we were getting flogged every game at the end of last season as well. We are not showing any improvement in any area of the game. In fact, just when you think we can't get any worse, we somehow find a way.
I didn't expect us to start the season well, especially once Tommy T forgot the no-slip mat in his shower. We don't have a hooker and we don't have a backup fullback, so being 0 and 4 doesn't surprise me. Scott Penn might not have seen it coming, but anyone who watched us play last year, and watched aghast again when we did nothing about it (either on a coaching or recruiting level) should have known how our season would play out.
I wouldn't care if we were 0 and 4 and showing some signs of life and/or improvement. But we've showed nothing so far, and the direction we are heading is not up.
