Is Mestrov really our Messiah?

You know , I employed a girl once ( many of them over the years ) and she worked for me for 9.5 years , then fell pregnant , and her partner got a job in mining and so she resigned.

I wasn’t required to pay her the 10 year long service payment , but did as it was just the right thing to do.

I think that’s what’s happening here.

Only fair if you're the father 🫣

Let's hope Metrov holds his cool and does not make any decisions on extending Seibold until 3/4 thru this season.

There are no other clubs beating down Seibolds door to poach him from Manly.
I agree there's no rush but I also can't think of any potential coach's door I'd be beating on to get to the club.

Is Mestrov really our Messiah ?
We hope so
We hope our Team is resurrected come finals time
We dont want to see him Crucified

I like Siebold and he looked amazing last week however a loss like that now means three losses this season when up by 16-20 points.

This loss especially against poor opposition with no injury excuses at home is a really bad sign.eg - he’s had Tom all season.

The next few weeks with away games in Brisbane twice and origin players missing could be crucial. A few more losses and we drop out of contention and may not make the eight let alone challenge for the title.

You would imagine late in second half what would have gone through Seibold’s mind in relation to his contract extension….

John Morris
Hmmmm, ok. But I wouldn't be beating his door down to get him. Unlike Bennet, he doesn't really have runs on the board. But agree he could be good in the future. I'm willing to give Seibs a bit more time.

Yeah nah - yes, he has a runs on the board but he's a misery guts that would be painful for me to look at and listen to. Unpopular view I'm sure but not for me
I wouldn't care if the coach was Pennywise. Just someone who can get some fuking steel in our defense and our commitment and resolve.

He is not retiring and Mestrov and Spoony have been dragging the chain
Why are they dragging the chain? He’s 36 and was cooked the last 6 games of last season due to his Origin commitments. This year he’s been great, but only 3 games into a long season and he wants to play Origin again.1 year at a time deals is perfect for the club, obviously not for DCE,but he’s 37 come season start and Father Time is undefeated

Mestrov and company have done a decent job in my view, only until now they are dragged through the media circus of the club captain.

The job they done with young Hoppa resigning was a job well done to all parties there, a 19 year old junior showing the club more respect than the current captain, if young Hoppa would have elected not to resign and put the club through a media circus then he would be criticised as a money grabber.

A real 2015 smell about this.I know he’s given everything and has represented the club well, but he owes the club, even if it’s something as minor as a year at a time contract, especially at his age.Interesting times ahead
