Is Gorman teflon coated .. ?

Twice in the telecrap today Gorman is qouted as saying that a "full" review of the football dept will be completed before the players return on the 5th Nov.

1) Is this true ....?
2) If so ... who is conducting it?
3) Why was this significant and full review not important enough to mention previously, like at a members council or Members night?
4) Or are you just making shiite up on the run ???

maybe it is a reaction to Parra's review announcement yesterday ..
Every club does an end of season review each year. It’s just common practice. I guess it’s just something to say cause manly is so newsworthy (easy to make **** up about) at the moment

Is this an independent review by an outside committee ... or an internal review by Gorman .. (I have no idea of the names of any other appropriate staff) .... will the result be everything is just hunky dory .... I hope the findings of this exhausting review are made public .... ?

His statement just says a full review. From mates that worked in and still work in professional teams they do exit reviews every year before they go on leave. It may be nothing more than that. They’re never released publicly. It’s just a version of a performance review like most people have in their workplace.

HR people would blow up if you started making those public. Generally unless there are governance issues the reviews are done internally. When there are issues (like the one murrihy did for us, I think it was him) they get someone external in. I think that’s what parra has done, probably in part because they want someone else to point the gun because everyone loves BA for some reason

Gotta say Gorman has been a little too quiet this season for my liking particularly during the Hastings debacle. The CEO should have stepped in and gagged Barrett and told him to concentrate on the coaching and to leave the press to him. I don't know if Barrett's infamous Hastings press conference was sanctioned and authorized by Penn and or Gorman but if I was a betting man I'd bet it wasn't. The rest is history and we know how that turned out for Barrett and Hastings.

It certainly did this for all involved....................

At the Member's meeting I think I recall Lyall saying that a review had been done.
When asked by whom he replied "by Trent Barrett".
The full details of the meeting are now a little hazy but that is my recollection.
BTW: I thought the club was going to post that meeting on its website. It was filmed and microphones were given to questioners.
