Manly five-eighth and former Australian International Jamie Lyon catches up with Rleague.com prior to the Sea Eagles World Club Challenge showdown against the Leeds Rhinos on Sunday March 1.

Lyon is one of the few Manly players with experience playing in English conditions after a highly successful two-year stint with Super League side St Helens and said he's looking forward to once again playing again in England.

In the interview Lyon spoke about Manly's successful Grand Final triumph last year where the Sea Eagles hammered the Melbourne Storm 40-0 in one of the most complete and comprehensive performances of all-time on the big stage. Lyon admitted that Manly's emphatic victory last year helped erase the pain of Parramatta's shock Grand Final loss against Newcastle in 2001, which Lyon was a member of the Eels side that night.

Lyon gave Manly legend Steve Menzies a special tribute during the interview and said he was looking forward to a round of Golf when Menzies during Manly's trip to the UK.

Manly will take on Super League side Harlequins tomorrow in a warm-up match with Quins Coach Brian McDermott looking forward to the showdown against the NRL champions. Lyon will be one of Manly's key players due to his experience of previously playing in England and the departure of Menzies and Steve Bell now makes Lyon one of Manly's more senior players in their 2009 squad.
