Does anyone have an injury update on the Snake? Also anything on the Wolfman, Jorge and Kingy?
Is Snake getting cybernetic legs yet?

Tooves was on ABC Grandstand and said they won't know about Snake til scans on Monday. Whatever this means he said he doesn't expect him to be out for long if he's out.

What's the prognosis on Horhay ?/ Surely all the scans and specialist appointments have been done by now. I'm thinking no news is bad news on that front.

they said on the sunday footy show this morning wolfie is due back this week, Jorge kingy and tommy are due back in a few weeks
Havent said anything about Chee kam yet

The Telegraph are reporting that Snake will be out for 4 weeks. I can't remember the last time he came back on time from injury so I guess that could be longer.

Triple m jus said same thing

Well we are ... now then

So from his best off season to 40mins of brilliance then gone for at least a month....

Is it time to blood gutho?

I think they should put Hiku in,and put all their efforts in working the team around him,if we dont concentrate on working with Hiku,we will lose him to the dogs, rubbing salt into the wounds,or this should apply for whoever they put there,as much as we hate to think this,if this happens after the best off season he has had, then we may not have him on the park much this year, before I get ridiculed,I still think brett is our best option, but we have to look at the reality of the situation

The reality is that Snake had a free off season to get ready. He never ran any great distance on Saturday, yet the hamstring went after about 30 minutes
He came to the sideline to get it looked at but stayed on.

How do they test his fitness to get it so wrong ?

He played half a game in Rd 25 and didn't make it back till the GF :s

Fox sports are suggesting Snake is out for a month.

I think that Hiku needs to be given a crack at full back and bring in Gutherson to play wing.

We must also keep a back on the bench, we cant afford another situation where Horo is at centre and Matai on the wing. We were smashed down that side in the 2nd half.

Best suggestion I've heard Sheridan. No matter what decision is made , we need a utility back in the reserves. This should always e the case when Snake plays. The reshuffling of Manly's backline. killed them. Gutherson, Blair, Hiku. Whoever is playing in the 13, one of them must be in the four reserves in future.

I agree Hiku should go into the fullback position and If Manly don't hurry up and resign him he will go to the Bulldogs where he will in the starting lineup, he could go anyway.
Gutherson is not a winger.

it will be the arrangement we had in the semis last year: Hiku, Wolfy, Killer, Skivvy, HorHay, assuming if and when, all the others are fit. Tooves is quite conservative.
Can u honesty see him messing with this ?
Suggest Santini for HorHay; Blair for Wolfy, Hiku chiming in from deeper, he looks good when he has a bit of speed up.

2014 rugby league is far different from 2013.If we do follow the conservative route I honestly fear the consequences .Personally after 2 or 3 rounds I think all coaches will doing things differently than they first imagined.

Yep heard he couldnt even drive his car from the ground.

All those suggesting that Gutherson should be promoted must not have seen him play in the NSW Cup. While he tried hard he has a long way to go to be a star at that level, let alone in first grade.
Our next star back will be Tom Turbo-Jet from the Holden Cup team. I saw him for the first time on Saturday and he was super impressive. I know it's only Under 20s but you can tell when a youngster has the X-factor.

The Snake loss is huge. Better now than later though. We played one of our best games of the 2013 year in the 4-0 loss to the rorters - without Snake.
The team can adjust. I agree with the back on the bench plan. We suck at complete reshuffles. Toovey did say he was going to watch the video and find out what went wrong. We've all seen it so surely the little legend will.
Give the Gutherson kid a run. We'll learn what works for us in time for the big games.
Toovey hates to lose and that is on our side.

I'm gonna say it again. I can't see Chee Kam ever playing 1st grade for this club. With all of these injuries he's gotta be right down the pecking order.

I think he also missed the grand final qualifier against some scary team of behemoths (forget their name) and we did OK in that game too, as I recall.

Although only last week Tooves named him as the young player most likely to come through and make an impact this year, despite the fact he'd been injured in the 9s. He must have something, hopefully we'll get to see it soon.

Chee kam is back in a few weeks. Tooves rates him. He will get a run. I personally don't rate horo.average player. Stewart out for a month will hurt. Play hiku there but i don't think hiku or gutherson will be Brett's replacement. Hiku is too limited with the ball. Gutherson is better but lacks pace or power. I agree that tom turbo loojed our best chance to replace Brett. Only time I've seen him play but he looks like he has it all

Manly should start giving their Juniors a go, give them some experience especially at the start of the season and that way they have some experience under their belt, but Manly won't and then they lose these players to other clubs. Charlie Taylor ( Australian Schoolboy player last year ) and Specialised Winger absolutely lightning pace only young but such a talent, has other clubs including the Australian 20s Rugby Team chasing him should be brought up he is being wasted in the 20s.

Finally we agree on something. I think with so much success we sometimes expect too much. This year is really kind of a changing of the guard. A rebuilding year if you like. I think top 8 is a realistic goal and top 4 would be above par for us.
