Ineffective Tackling

Is it just me but has the effectivesness of our tackling technique gone backwards in 2024?

I swear in one passage of Raiders play last night in the second half we came up with about 15 ineffective tackles in one play with them inside our 30.

There must be a change of technique going on but its is not working and showing in our Against stats. Maybe less players committing to the tackle might also be a factor. I am also not talking about "one off" big hits like Aloia's last night.

We know defence wins premierships and at this rate we will be lucky to make the 8 playing Benjiball to win and shirking the tough stuff every week.

Eels offloaded like there was no tomorrow last week so the opposition coaches have worked out presentation man's denfensive tactics.

They scored 2 plays after that with the simplest of crash plays, as we were clearly gassed and woefully out of position

and scarily I wouldn't say we are an unfit team but individual tackles are going to drain your tank pretty quick
