Class of 96
Bencher
Looking at old footage of Matai, and others, it struck me how they worked their butt off to improve the position for the goal kicker.
I am seeing more and more showboating now where a player crossing the tryline out wide with no defender close is more interested at looking up at the giganturan tv screen and/or showboating for a spectacular touchdown. Wonder how many teams will lose by a point or two for these shelfish actions, and wonder if coaches drill into the players the need to get as close to the posts (without jeopardising the try) as possible?
Back in the day if you pulled those stunts you would wear a boot up the arse from the coach.
And as Rex would say, ground the bloody thing with 2 hands!
