You can keep your scroogeness and have BB at the same time. Just do your homework and you will find a BB & phone package for less than your current outlay. One tip: make sure you dont fall for a cheap BB rate with download limits under say 5GB per month. You would use more than 1 Gb in your weekly expoits on this site alone.

I just got broadband like 2 months ago and i'm paying $36 a month. I get 1.5mbps download/ 512k upload and a 12GB a month. Dropped to 64kbps after the 12GB which i don't go close to using.

I was paying nearly $40 a month for dial-up so I wasn't locked in a contract.

Im no computer expert so when the guys below talk about downloads and stuff I get lost , but I am a scrooge like yourself and the wife found a good cheap package through Netspace. She had to otherwise I wouldnt let her have the net on. 😀
