Who would take the #5 spot?

Thought Satini looked really strong during the 9's. Big, strong and skillful. With wolfman out for potentially the season, I think he could be a smokey for a wing spot.

Blair looked good as well and apparently scored a try in the sharks trial by out jumping his opposite winger.

Gutherson - maybe too slight at this stage but did some good things in the 9's. was that him who busted the line to offload for Satani's try?

Hiku is a great one for the future but doesn't seem a winger to me, more a centre or fullback.

Charlie Taylor a true speedster- probably too young at this stage but a specialist winger who will play 1st grade in the future.

i was hoping to see delroy berryman in the 9's, he replaced wolfie but did farkall! apparently has pace to burn? something we need....

but seriously you could put me outside Jamie Lyon and i'd be the NRL's top try scorer... anyone outside Jamie will go well

Probably Hiku although Blair would be good as well as I think that he has more speed than Hiku and is taller to diffuse bombs.

If that's the case then I vote for Brookie to get the gig.
Then I'm off to the TAB. ;)

I think you are right.
Hiku should be in our top 17, somewhere. He is too good for Reggies. But I fear he'll have to battle for a spot on the bench with Buhrer.

Id like to see Hiku get the spot, but I recken Blair will get it as his got the height which we need, Lets hope Hiku find a spot in our 17 somewhere before he gets else where

If Wolfie is gone I'll make someone cry :exclamation:

The way some of his Team mates and some Manly Fans ostracized him after the GF, makes a mockery of the Manly 'One Big Family' Club mantra:mad:

But life goes on, so Satini would be my pick as #5, ahead of Blair. He looks to have the speed and would learn quickly from Killer :)

Blair would be great off the bench, as he is a large and mobile Player and Buhrer seems to have plateaued

Hiku needs space and seems hampered by a sideline, so would be wasted on the Wing. He should get plenty of game time with Snake's hammy history.

Hiku should get first crack for mine, but maybe Santini would be good for my Supercoach side

I would think that the bench will be out of Lui, Hasson, Staring, Sao Bhurer and Symonds. Blair or Hiku to be in the starting line up

if it's a long term out for Wolfie, I think Blair will get the spot, you want someone who will (hopefully make the position their own). If Hiku was to get it, and then a few rounds in Brett, Jamie or Matai cop an injury it'd be more reshuffling bringing Hiku out of that position, into another and popping someone else in.
As i've mentioned in other posts, i think Hiku has come along so far that he has shown he can mix it in firsts, but i reckon he will be kept as back up for any of those three in fb/centres and maybe if he's lucky take a bench spot.
hopefully wolfie is fine though!

Wolfie just on Ten News ,devestated and angry about the Nines being blamed over 'a bloody injury, if it happens here or Round one, its no different'.
Then, as the Reporter persisted, Wolfie came back to his larrikin self and classed the injury as 'a grade one abrasion, a little tear on the knee'

Unfortunately its the same right knee that he had replaced in 2012 :(

I blame the dead guy that he got it off

Hugh Jackman should mentor Wolfie in his next career, as an actor.
It is just horrendous to endure so much pain in the name of Sport

Yesterday was the first time I've ever even heard of Santini.

Anyone shed some light on this guy. Looks to have some potential.

For what it's worth, I'd say it's a race in two between Hiku and Blair. Depends what Tooves is looking for. I think Hiku will probably get the nod even though I'd personally go for Blair.

Obviously it would be Hiku, I can't believe this question is even being asked.
While he is probably the most talented of the players mentioned he has looked much better playing centre or fullback than wing.

I had never heard of Jorge until he popped up on our wing a couple of years ago. Satini may well be a similar talent.

he is a riff junior with plenty of potential,I am shocked they let him go,they had huge wraps on him,I saw him coming through the juniors up here and again,he has heaps of talent

I hope to God Wolfie is not gone . Blair looks good in the air and has pace and flair to be a better finisher then Hiku who is a solid player and is more affective playing centre or fullback .
