I was dreaming about a new and fairer competition?

Am I off base for suggestiong next season that all teams play each other team twice, and that there be only a top 4 finals system. I reckon it would be fairer?

Of course the NRL will get up me for the suggestion because they miss out on 2 weeks of match revenue, but wouldn't they make that up with the extra gate receipts percentage they get out of the club games? Not mentioning the fact that the clubs would make more, fox sports have more games to present, Channel 9 have an extra 10 games to show.....

This would also stop the arguements on which clubs should play against each other twice under the current system, and I 've heard on the grape vine that some clubs negotiate with the NRL to enhance their semi's and for & against.

Yep, good post mhed. Pretty soon the NRL will want a final 14 series. A 52 week comp would be good for me. Apparently Warren Ryan had a finals proposal that people say is good. I can't say I remember the details though.

Playing all other teams twice = 30 round competition. 26 rounds with 24 games is already too long.
