Thompson best game so far, Gojetski awesome hit out, Paseake massive unit with skill, DCE unbelievable defensive worker, Uate dropped his pencil, Thommy having a crack in everything, Jake trouping and kicking, Croker having a couple of kicks, Api just a machine and deceptive...Taupau amazing workrate...

We won the second half, got smashed in possession from the first minute, gave them a 5th tackle penalty, and stroll up the field they did. Benji has really hit great form, and his kicking game is exceptional. I doubt we will make the 8 this year, there are better teams, we just have to be patient................... I'm a bit worried about Barrett though, he needs to fix this.

You, sir, have my admiration. The fact you can take positives out of that is awesome, and yeah, Thompson tried hard, as did Jetski, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that Croker can kick a football if he has to.

Would of been good to get a couple more tries in that second half to lift the confidence going into next week. I was glad to see Thompson play well and jetski. When Marty and AFB and Jake starting rolling forward and crocker played a bit of footy we look ok.

First half just own worst enemies with penalties and way to much dropped ball. Only 28 percentage of possession!!

If everyone plays hard and to their potential we can win a lot of games. Uate and Perrett need to be dropped though. But who comes up from Reggies?? Losing Siro and kelepi tanginoa are bigger losses than I thought

But good on you 🙂 I agree that there were positives today. When we had the footy we didn't look like crap. Unlike what most believe, I don't think our halves are the problem. It's the fact that no one is doing their job for long enough in the game for the halves to capitalise.

Baz needs to drill the basics into them because while we do have a good side, there was just no application. No one chasing the ball, running in support or trying to get back on side and support the defence or even hold on to the ball. That effort was pathetic but there's enough in the team for it to do well.

To be honest I think the team is carried ever week by Tom Trbojevic, Jake Trbojevic, DCE, Taupau, AfB. Every other player could easily be replaced.

On a brighter note I thought that JetSki and paseka were very impressive. I’d give paseka a run over perrett atm min and may happen after the way perrett got hooked today. I’d be very nervous in the future if I were either one of Thompson or Sironen. Coz JetSki is a goer and I think with a full season under his belt this year may see him close to pushing one of them out next year

All praise to find the positives out of a performance that the Northern Eagles would have been embarrassed off. You champion ! Is Jorge Toufua our equivalent of Semi Radradra ? Better years are behind him, but geez he sums up all that was good about our recent GF sides. Effort on effort and if you f%4k up , work harder to fix it. Always got our sets off to a good start.

To be honest I think the team is carried ever week by Tom Trbojevic, Jake Trbojevic, DCE, Taupau, AfB. Every other player could easily be replaced.

I looked in the cupboard, and there ain't no replacements.

Well, moderatly drunk, but I think the momentum was there for them, 3 penalties straight up set the tone. At half time, we had like 14% possession, but tried our best for the 2nd half after a blast from the coach. Forgot to mention AFB, but I thought Tent and Gojetski made awesome yards, and were keen. Lucky we have these guys today... Barretts got some work to do though.

Manly probably blew two near certain tries in the second half. Plus with a little more patience, they might have jagged at least one more.

We miss Jorge terribly. He always rolls up the sleeves with his dummy half runs.

Poor Walker never got the ball. Are they protecting him as he gets back to match fitness? He will never get match fit if they never go right. Right side was our biggest attacking side last year.
They kept going left all game.

Uate I am afraid needs to be dropped - he can't catch a coconut at the moment.

To give up 3 times, late penalties in the tackle count just continued their roll and you have to give them credit for taking full advantage in getting repeat sets on top of their total dominance. The second half was slow motion, lacked intensity! I was pleased that Manly kept trying and the errors came from chasing points. I think today our depth was badly exposed in the forwards!!
