How to F a season in one go

He’s always been selfish the way he’s handled this stuff. It’s frustrating because our season is probably cooked now. But I believe this will be better for our future.

Told club in December he won’t be with the club after this season. Bit vague on whether he meant retiring or not?
Media get wind of new deal at either Phins or chickens this week.
Manly blindsided offer deal today
DCE confirms today he made up his mind last year and he is off like a bag of prawns in the sun

The Manly CEO did not make him a Priority .
DCE sensed that and thought why waste my time when other CEO's behind the scenes are Valuing me more and have put their words where their wallets are .

I don’t think we’re going to learn the real facts about this any time soon. If DCE is lying and they did have an offer on the table - albeit he wasn’t happy with it, then the club will not want to say so at the moment for fear of causing more drama and totally derailing rhe season - if it’s not already done so. But when he leaves, then we should hear the truth.

It's too late. DCE has come out on national TV stating he is leaving Manly. He is not going to backflip on his public word.

Yeah he is done. Saying “we” are comfortable with the decision pretty much ensures he is heading elsewhere…

What I gather is mostly from what he said tonight and reading between the lines. If DCE told the club in December he wasn’t playing on with the club after this season why would they make him a priority target??? 🎯

I think the cap space created will enable us to build the team more effectively? As I said we have cover in Arthur with young ones on the way up (similar to when DCE started back in 2011). He has failed to deliver another premiership after that and to be fair the past 10 years have arguably been our worst in terms of performance (making Finals/GrandFinals/Premierships) since the 1940s believe it or not.

Anyway he is gone to either Phins or Chickens - he has tarnished his legacy despite the 300 plus games

It's hard to believe anyone in this situation but you're right, I felt embarrassed for the Club when they came out and said Mestrov and Penn were going to make a counter offer on TV.

From What I Gather During last Season and well before December DCE's Managers priority was to get an extension deal with Mestrov . Mestrov played the Waiting game whilst other club CEO's played the Wallet Game and by December DCE and his Manager called Mestrovs bluff and said bye bye to him

Brooks and Arthur are not the answer and the young talent time halves might be or might not be ready in many years to come

At a time where Elite halves are rare as Platinum
Mestrov picked the wrong time to lose such a Player

Mestrov and Penn are accountable for this media Manly Circus show
They had all last season to get the deal done and they kept DCE and every one else in the dark.
But now it lights camera and action for the media boys .
